Can someone help me understand what is included? I was reading some details on this site and it says this festival is included with your park admission - but what do you get with your park admission? Do you have to pay additional for food samples? It looks like there are lunch or dinner or wine tasting packages to buy that are not included with your park admission.

Toad,

The F&WF is included with your park admission. What you get is the opportunity to purchase samples of food, beer & wine from various kiosks that have been set up around World Showcase as well as from the permanent pavillions. There are some free seminars during the day, as well as free concerts at the stage across from the American pavillion. The other items you refer to are fee based extras, such as the Party for the Senses, Lunch & Learn, Vertical Wine Tastings, etc. Some of these sell out rather quickly, and some you may be able to purchase on the day of your visit. There are also festival kiosks where you can purchase logo items such as shirts, hats, glasses and the like.

For more information about this festival, check out the link on the DIS home page. :drinking1

We are arriving late on Nov 13, and since the 14th is the last day we thought we would head to Epcot as our first park of the trip to take advantage of the tastings (food).
What kind of prices are we talking about if I just want to try somes "tastes" of the world - not a full-blown lunch or dinner?

If you visit the numerous booths that surround WS you will find sample portions from various countries which usually cost $2-$3. It is easy and fun to eat your way around the world. Most of the time we are filled before we complete the circle. You will also find intl vintners who are selling their wines by the glass or bottle.

As for the lunches, dinners and wine or beer pairings I would suggest checking out this sites F&W Festival area. Many of the meals have already sold out, like Paula Dean's Lunch & Learn.

This is a great festival and we never miss it.

We don't usually carry much cash when we are in the world. Am I correct in guessing that we will need to change this for the F&W Festival? I'm assuming they do not take room charges for all of this, or do they?

Thanks!

Erika

The booths do in fact take room charges/Credit cards. I would carry some cash just in case but I had no problem charging everything back to my room last year.

Yup, room chages are okay, but the lines move faster if you have cash for that $3.00 glass of wine! :D
