We are heading to Food and Wine this coming Wednesday. We are actually veterans of food and wine, but I want to do things a little different this year. We want to ride the Skyliner into Epcot. We've never been on it. We are not staying on Disney property, but I'm hoping we can get an Uber to drop us off at one of the locations that will take us to Epcot. Is this possible, and what location can I give the driver to take us too? I'm assuming we can go into the back entrance no problem with a regular ticket. Didn't know if that was only for people staying on site. Also, I'm going to purchase a gift card for all of our spending during food and wine. My debit card got shut off several years ago, for too many swipes, in the middle of the day. Made for a very underwhelming time that year. The last time we went i was using cash and that was just a mess and too difficult to keep messing with. Can you purchase a gift card somewhere near the back entrance? Or do I have to go all the way to guest relations at the front. Thanks for any help!

If you want to ride the Skyliner, I'd recommend having the Uber driver take you to the Riviera Resort. No transfers needed that way.

No worries about needing to only go in the front entrance.

There is a gift shop at the International Gateway entrance where you should be able to purchase a GC. You might even be able to get one at Riviera.

I don't know how it is now...but they were being very strict about Ubers dropping off at resorts if you didn't have a dining or hotel reservations. This was as recent as this summer.

Perhaps things have become more lax and somebody can confirm.

Here is a possibility if Disney will not let you be dropped off at a resort:

Get dropped off at the TTC. Take the Ferry to MK and hop on a bus to Caribbean Beach Resort and take the Skyliner from there.
Or go to Disney Springs and take a bus to CBR for the Skyliner.

I know it's a long way around but but I always enjoy taking the different transportation options around The World. Maybe you will, too.

If you're using the gift card primarily for Food & Wine booths, get one of the small cards on the coiled bracelets. They're super easy to use at booths... no swiping even, just hold 'em up, and the cashier shoots them with a laser gun (doesn't get more "no contact"). You can refill them over and over at most any gift shop (not sure if the country gift shops can do so), or at the festival merchandise booths. Also a great souvenir to take home... we started a collection of them a few years ago - try to get one from every festival (they change from festival to festival and year to year). You can also register them online like a regular gift card, and move any leftover money to a new card, if necessary.
