EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, Sept. 25 - Nov 16 2015

I managed to book the Premium Package and the Beverage Seminar for the 26th October yesterday. I was told that you could either do the beverage seminar at 2PM, or the culinary one at 5PM. (Mind you it did take almost 45 minutes to get this sorted, and quite a number of conversations between the CM & her Supervisor.) I didn't even ask at what time to show up for the Desert Party. I figure I will sort this out when we show up to collect our goodies on the 26th.
Ok thank you I am going to try yet again. Wish me luck!

As PP said these recipe card pins are pins you buy. It is not the special pin for the sampler package as someone else posted. From the sampler package details there is a LE pin that comes in a choice of 3 colors. I have yet to see a picture of this particular LE Sampler Pin in any color.
Oh ok! For some reason I was thinking it was just the 20th Anniversary pin, which I assumed was the Limited Edition they were referring to (it might be too, I don't know--I haven't really gotten into pin collecting so I'm not sure how all that works). I'm a little more excited about the pin now!

We have taken our 2 granddaughters with us a number of times starting when they were in pre-school and they had a great time. Like you we went at lunchtime most days and when they got tired we'd head back to our hotel. Most days we were there till at least late afternoon. One of the girls loved to try the different foods. It is certainly not going to be the same with kids as if it were just adults but we all enjoyed it.

November should be a little cooler to be there during the day. Kids will have their limits with just food and drinks so we paced things and made sure to do some things other than just stopping at the food kiosks. Both girls loved to stop at each of the countries to do mask decorating while we enjoyed food and drinks from the kiosks. If there was entertainment like the drummers in Japan we'd stop and watch. Neither were into characters so we never waited in the lines for them We also made sure to stop and do something in Future World like the aquarium or Spaceship Earth (the past few times we've gotten fast passes here). As they got older we made it a point to get fast passes for Test Track which is right next to the Festival Pavilion. The past few times they also enjoyed doing the Phineas and Ferb Agent P's World Showcase Adventure. It's funny this year we are going and the girls will not be with us. They are very disappointed they have to miss this year's festival.

Thanks! Test Track is great, DS loves it! DS may try bites of our food but he'll definitely be into the desserts. We saw princesses & other characters last year, so skipping them this year. We need to catch the movie in China as that is where DS was born & we did not see it last time.

It looks like they have finally updated the schedules for the Deminars. If you've already booked you might want to verify that what you booked for is actually what is still scheduled. I noticed some changes in presenters and also food items being served for some of the Culinary Demos. There have been a few changes for Beverage Seminars, Most notably what was listed as Duckhorn originally now shows TBD and there are a few other changes. They have filled in some of the TBD Mixology sessions also. There are still somethings showing TBD. The update was on 8/11.

rats! they've changed the culinary demos for my PP week! ARGH! I have a "TBD" in the 5pm slot for tues, sept 29. frustrating!! I wonder what happens to those who've already booked it? and bacon instead of beef for Monday! cheaping out, Disney? sheesh!

I'm just glad my Skywalker Vineyards one on 11/16 is still the same. I think if people have already booked they may be able to cancel due to the changes. I noticed another culinary one that changed from a meat to a shellfish. They finally filled in the Mixology ones for most of November that were TBD. A couple of those look interesting. There are still some beverage ones that have TBD on what they will be serving so there's no telling whether they will be wines or spirits.

Thanks for this! I'd been watching for mixology seminars on my trip and beverage. Still TBD on one beverage seminar but mixology has been filled in... with moonshine? I'm missing Grand Marnier by 2 days :(

I have an eat to the beat question. There are three times, will the same set be played each time or are the songs different for each set? Also if the act is playing more than one day are those different songs as well or will it be the same sets each day?

We are trying to decide if we want to see the concert from the same person more than once and/or more than one day. TIA!

I think it depends on the act and how big of a catalog they have to choose from. I think most of them try to mix up their sets a little but will always play certain signature songs during each set. They only play for about 30-40 minutes for each set.

I have a question for anyone that can help. I have the PP reserved for monday OCT.19 and that is our day for the dessert party and thats what it said on MDE till today. Today I called today to reserve our seminar for OCT.21 and now MDE says
Epcot Food & Wine Premium Package Seminar Wednesday, October 21, 2015 and says nothing about the dessert party on monday the 19. So my question is did anyone else's MDE change like that after you booked your seminar or did it show both reservations. I'm trying to figure out if I need to call them back and have them fix things because we still want to pickup our stuff and do the dessert party on monday.

Mine shows both reservations. My dessert party on oct 27th and my seminar on the 29th.

omg on the phone now with CM who is insisting that there is no updated schedule from WDW. she's quoting me all the seminars that were posted last week & not the current ones that are showing on the OFFICIAL WDW website. i explained that i would HATE to book something & show up and they're featuring something completel different. ARGH!

update: she had to check with a supervisor & she got the updated schedule with TBD still showing on sept 29. she said i can take my chance & just book it & wait to see what they feature that day. yikes. or just keep waiting & if other demos fill up in the mean time, oh well. tragic.

OK thanks I will call them and try to get it fixed.

Here's what mine looks like in MDE. Yesterday, I'd swear the seminar looked like a regular seminar. Now it specifically says it's the premium package seminar.

I got worried because we're at Beach Club with Dessert Party on Oct 26 as well, but my events are listed as regular 'ole rezzies at the restaurants. Then I realized it reads one way in my mobile app, but just as BirdsofPreyDave posted on the website. Thank goodness! I did NOT want to have to call back again. I'm already thinking of skipping the seminar altogether just because I don't want to have to deal with booking it! And there's not really a 5 pm one that I'm all that interested in. I'm wondering if the 5 pm slots are not all that popular and that's why we're restricted to them.
