Well, my 8 minute wait is now going on 15 minutes!

I got right through to DVC, but 17 minutes later, my cast member is still trying to find the events in the menu.

Lack of training again, my cast member could not find them either. I had to tell them CULINARY DEMONSTRATIONS.... and then she found them. She was calling them deminars. After 20 minutes had them booked.

Sat on hold with WDW Dining for 15 minutes and all of the sudden it asked me to do the survey for my call and then hung up on me. I called back in and now have a 35 minute wait. WDW phones suck. We called DVC - 75 minute hold.

I got thru right at 9am and got my Alex Guarnischelli and Amanda Freitag demos!

My hold time was supposed to be 8 minutes. CM finally picked up at 20 minutes. She doesn't seem to know how to book and has me on hold! If she ever comes back, I will ask for a supervisor! Nothing changes!

ETA: CM still has not returned to the call and I'm still back on hold. UGH! I'm on my cell phone as well with a wait of 22 minutes. Have a feeling that call will be answered before the original CM comes back. So disappointing!

The CM finally came back and said the reason she had to put me on hold for 10 more minutes, which brought the time up to 9:30 AM eastern time, was because booking did not open up until 9:00 AM. It's always a new adventure, isn't it......(or same old!). Actually, last year, though, I got in right away and got an excellent CM.

I did get the 2 that I wanted, one of which was Cat Cora on the 17th........I hope! That's the important thing.

I sure hope they confirm the special events, etc before the Chase Card booking starts next week!

Well, since I've been grumbling I need to say I was extremely pleased with my booking luck today. Dialed a few minutes before 8, was quoted a 4 min wait, actual wait probably closer to 10 but all done by 9:20!! That is a record time for me!!

Also, FYI, I asked about early booking for the other events for Disney Visa cardholders. She said it was going to be Tuesday, 7/28 but her info didn't say whether it would open at 7am or 9am.

To confirm, are they only taking reservations this morning for the demonstrations? I need to book luncheons, the dessert party and a signature meal. Can you do those today or not until the 30th?

Ok, I've got my deminars booked.

Confirming that DVC is booking PFTS, today, for only for October 3rd.

I got right in at 9am. I got all of the hard ones, but for some reason the Oct 20th and Oct 21st 5pm culinary demonstrations (both pastry) weren't in the system. I am still excited and since I wasn't 100% sure about them anyways I ok with that.

She did let me know that the premium package is definitely coming back!

And Chase Visa can book the other events starting July 28th!

I also got disconnected. I could tell that the call was being answered and then I got a fast busy signal. Now in an hour + que. But based on previous posts, it sounds like the long wait times are due to untrained/ uniformed cast members not knowing this was happening today. Communication is such a wonderful skill. This is not the time to practice on the job training. Sigh

This happens every year. You would think they could get this streamlined so calls don't get disconnected and hold times are not so insane. I know I am going to sit on hold and NOTHING will be available that we want once we get through now.

I had to wait 23 minutes, for a 4 minute wait, but got a great cast member. We are only going on 9/28 and 9/30. By the time I got through, the Yachtsman demonstration for the 28th was no longer available, but I got everything else I wanted. She did say only the three demonstrations could be booked today- culinary, beverage, and mixology.

Was able to book my wine seminar hopefully its the right one. The name of the winery was not listed it just stated Nov 16th- 4pm wine seminar Hopefully it turns out to be Skywalker Vineyards

I called at 8:58 and was told wait time was 5 minutes. After 26 minutes, I finally got Amanda on 10/3 for both times. CM also told me about Chase cardholder special events on 11/9 and 9/28. Sounded good, but I won't be there at those times. Good luck to all!!
