EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, Sept. 25 - Nov 16 2015

I'm interested in that parisan meal traditions thingie they are doing. Those cannot be booked tomorrow right?

No they cannot. The only events that can be booked tomorrow are the Festival Center $15 demonstrations and seminars.

We were interested in that one as well.....but I KNOW we will like the Italian one and both of these are over $100 each by the time tax is added. I don't think we could swing both. I'm betting the French Traditional Meal one is going to be really fun!

The truth is they tell the CMs practically nothing as you will discover tomorrow when you call to book and they say "it's not available" simply because you are the first caller and they haven't looked LOL! This info gets released to them when it opens for booking which is sad and creates a TON of confusion. (That's why you need to follow the directions in post 1 about booking :) )

I have had them tell me there was no such thing as Party for the Senses. Since it's one of the "showcase events" you would think they would know.

The thing we need if it's coming back is the exact "name" and date to allow for easier booking... Sigh. Disney makes it hard to love them sometimes! LOL!

Yes, I agree, generally the CM's know less than us, but this one actually seemed knowledgeable. She also told me about some stuff that wasn't coming back and again seemed very knowledgeable about that. Maybe she is wrong, but I am hoping that she is correct (:

The last time I went to a demo it was free...so yeah, it's been awhile. Do you all prefer the culinary ones, beverage or mixology the best?

I'm sad that it doesn't look like they will be having the 3D dessert party. I guess I can try the PFTS but its just so expensive.

She is selling her own line of spices and spice mixes. Which she will probably cook with.
Yes, based on the description sounds like she will be cooking with (and probably selling) the spice blend. I googled it after seeing the schedule and found a Facebook page for the product. Interestingly, she posted her seminar schedule on Saturday - days before the full schedule was announced.

I think that I will try for a 1:00 demo. Not sure I want a drunk hostess trying to explain the cooking process. Maybe she will see this thread and tone it down a bit this year. I have been to a lot of cooking demos at events in Chicago. I hate it when the host is too mouthy. I like it when they encourage the chef to speak up by asking good questions. Always glad when the chef has the ba!!s to speak over the host and end their babble. A good host needs to be able to read the chef to see how they are going to have to fill in to round out the demo. They should not be the demo. I think I will just sign up for one and see how it goes from there.

Also noted that RDN behind her name is for a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. As a dietitian myself, it really upsets me to hear this woman gets drunk everyday when she is supposed to be setting an example of good health. Do you know how many other dietitians would kill to have an opportunity like this? And to hear she spends her time getting trashed!!! You can bet if she's at my demo I will say something to her face. As someone else said, if enough people complain about her, hopefully they'll get rid of her. I know a very good replacement:rolleyes1

Ok we are getting carried away. She's not sloshed. She probably has 3 glasses of wine LOL. I think her personality gets under my skin if she is completely sober

Just got my "Disney Food Blog 2015 Guide to the Epcot Food & Wine Festival"! Let the ultimate planning begin pixiedust:

Me too! I have lots of reading to do! Interestingly enough, it WAS mentioned that we "may be able to convert a QS credit to 3 snack credits". I'm not counting on it but interesting to note that is is a possibility.

Totally agree. I think she is just so in love with the sound of her own voice that she doesn't have clue how she comes across. Her ego gets in the way. However, there are few chiefs who know how to shut her down-Robert Irvine for one. I just schedule the deminars we want to go to and hope and pray she isn't the host. In prior years, there was a guy who hosted occasionally and he was very good-with a dry sense of humor. I did notice that she had several seminars on her own. My SIL, who comes with me every year, didn't recognize the name and wanted to go to one. I explained who she was and SIL immediately said, OMG-NO!

I'm starting to think that the Parisian breakfast and lunch will not be included

Any hope of a early preview of the Festival on Sept 23?? My AP expires on Sept 23 and I was hoping to get in to F&W Festivals.... then dang it.... Disney pushed the dates back. Last year the festival started a week earlier. I think I remember there being a few booths open a day or two early last year as a "preview" but I'm not certain. Hoping for some pixie dust!

I just saw a Facebook post from DVC that shows a "special" offer for members for reserved seating at the Oct 3rd PFTS. the DVC member website describes it as the one featuring the Disney chefs from around the world. It looks like it includes the same stuff with the addition of a members exclusive gift. It's listed at $199 and members are able to book it early starting tomorrow. The Disney website though, is advertising the Disney chefs from around the world party on Oct 24th??
