Hi everyone! My husband and I will be going to Disney in May and will be there during the Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot. We have been watching The Dis videos and have seen them try different foods specific for the festival. How do we get this food? Is it accepted on a dining plan or do we pay for it? I can't seem to find any specific information on this festival at all. If you have any tips or experiences during this event please let me know. Thank you!

There are booths set up around World Showcase that sells the food. Some of the food items count as snack credits on the Disney Dining Plan, but the vast majority do not, and you pay for these items a la cart and out of pocket. You can Google Flower and Garden Booth menus to see what is being offered this year.

Thank you!! That helps a lot!

If you Google flower and garden festival 2017 menu you will be able to find sites with a full menu list & pricing. Some of them even have photos of each menu board so you can see which items qualify for snack credits on the Dining Plan.

There are also Flower and Garden booklets available throughout Epcot that show the locations of all the outdoor kitchens and their menus.

You can also download a PDF version of this booklet on the My Disney Experience website. It takes a little digging to find it, but it should be under events, then Flower and Garden Festival.

I wouldn't say the "vast majority" do not count as Snack Credits, though. I would say more than half of the snacks (not alcohol) are Dining Plan eligible snacks.

I agree. I just looked at all the menu board photos on Blogmickey and there was only one snack that wasn't on the plan. (Of course, none of the alcoholic drinks are on the plan - but there was only the one food item not on the plan.)

We go every April for our wedding anniversary. We plan to 'eat around the world' and sample many of the foods. So many of the foods are between 4-5 dollars. I think the portions are large enough that you can easily fill up. So we have to go easy especially if you start eating the desserts early. I think it's a great plan to view the foods ahead of time and know what to look forward to so you can save room in your tummy for that particular food in case it's across the pond.

I agree; unless it has changed dramatically this year, I would say that the vast majority of food items in the booths are on the DDP as snacks. Not drinks though...

In case anyone is interested, I added up all offerings except the Joffrey's carts.

If you purchased all items you would spend $807
If you purchased food only you would spend $259.85
And alcohol only you would spend $547.15

I cannot explain how very, very much I love this. HA!
I'll just add this info too, if you have a Disney Visa:
Save at Select Walt Disney World® Resort Operating Participant Coffee/Tea and Merchandise Locations5
Receive 20% off entire purchase at Joffrey's coffee/tea kiosks throughout Walt Disney World® Resort, at Tea Traders Café by Joffrey's

You know you are deep in Disney planning mode when everything you just posted seems perfectly reasonable.

I asked this on another thread, no answers..has anyone done a make and take workshop? Or maybe there are none this year?

Heading to F&G for the last weekend in April. Is there an official thread all about it? I can't seem to find that. Thanks!
