Calling all experts!

Since DD (3.5) was born we have been a strictly MK family...well...it's time to venture out! We started with a day trip to MGM, which DD dubbed the "bad Disney" :confused3 and we left before 11 and went back over to MK to finish the day.

I'm a glutton for punishment so now it's going to be a day trip to Epcot. I've noticed that the theme at Epcot for the weekend is some sort of "field day". Anyone experienced this before? Is it something DD might like...or am I destined to spend every Disney day at MK until she's 18...or 27...or 35...? (not that this is a bad thing)

Thank you!

I do not know what a "field day" is...sorry, but why did your DD not enjoy MGM? There are several shows there for children. Does she just want to do the rides and not the shows?

She's not a show kind of girl. We went to a couple shows at MGM and she was ok for a bit but then she got bored. She's more of a hands on...in the middle of the action...going on rides or doing something kind of girl.

She did like the playground at MGM and the Great Movie Ride but that's it. She's also a shorty so all those cool >40" rides she sees, she can't go on yet.

Found this at allears. It's part of the Flower & Garden Show.

Memorial Day Weekend May 27-29

* Children ages 3-9 can take part in Field Day activities near The Land with beanbag tosses, relay races and other outdoor fun.
* Fans dig The Guess Who in concert for Flower Power fun.
* Pat Lanza, author of "Lasagna Gardening," dishes up tips about growing herbs that taste great in Italian dishes.

There are other activities that are through out the F&G show geared to kids.

Sounds like a great time to take your "hands on" daughter. :)

Don't forget the mask making at World Showcase.

There's also the cookie baking at the Land -

ETA - Let us know if your DD likes Epcot. :)
