I am sorry if this is discussed somewhere. I've googled, looked here, and read on Disney; but I haven't found anyone who gives me some ideas. Summary of our trip is a 4 day trip to celebrate and we have hoppers, DDP, and are staying at Beach Club. We've only been to disney once (2007) and NEVER taken our kids. We are hopping to Epcot every evening for dinner. I had NO IDEA that the Festival of the Holiday's included food kiosks. I was reading something last weekend and discovered this amazing fact, so now I'm trying to figure out how to use the DDP in light of these snack offerings.

If I'd known, I might have not elected to use the DDP, but too late....

My plan had been simple (TS meal and QS meal every day) utilizing the snack credits for Starbucks, breakfast snacks, and treats to supplement the two bigger meals. Now, I'm know DH will be excited about a lot of these snack items. Maybe we should get a QS breakfast (are those a thing in the park?) and use snacks at supper time?

I *think* the special offerings are all snack credits?
Can you convert QS meals to snacks? How does that work?
For people who do festivals, how do you meal plan?

I'm a way over-planner, but my ODD is disabled, so I need a solid plan so she won't have a meltdown waiting for the next meal. Thanks for all information and strategies.

I would say "most" of the special offerings are snack credits. You can use either snack credits or you can use one QS credit to purchase 3 snacks at ONE kiosk in ONE transaction. If you do this, you only get things that are snack eligible, so your drink entitlement goes away unless you get a soda/tea that is snack eligible with your other 2 snacks.

Using your QS credits for breakfast is a horrible use value wise (even if you have free dining, you want to be strategic). Inside the parks, a regular QS breakfast is very rare. Sunshine Seasons in EP and Yak n Yeti in AK are the only two places that come to mind.

This is the part that has me most worried. If you're going to be in EP every night for dinner, when are you going to have any kind of appetite for the snacks? Do you plan to change your ADRs to lunch time? If so, I assume you'll want them somewhere besides EP or you'll be in EP the entire vacation. Not to mention, if you're in EP every night, how are you going to experience the Christmas night-time offerings at the other parks?

We found the best use of snack credits was at the kiosk around World Shocase. Almost everything offered (up to about 7.00) was a snack credit. Just purchase drinks qnd water oop.

This is very helpful! I looked for breakfasts and didn’t find many!

My big girl takes her last dose of seizure meds at 7, and we have to be in bed at 8. We aren’t going to be able to enjoy the night time offerings, but we will still have a lot of fun! Most of our TS meals are lunches. I was planing QS at Epcot, so it’s just a little change in planning. We are going to Y&Y, CRT, Skipper, and O’hana for ‘lunches’. (Ohana is at 10🤷‍♀️)

Thank you for your help!

So, I actually think DDP is more beneficial during a festival as the booths allow you to use snack credits toward the different treats!

Have a wonderful time :)
