Ds is almost 4, ds is 5. Since they are both tier 1 attractions, I can only fastpass 1 of soarin and test track. Neither child has been on either. I haven't been on test track for YEARS, and never on soarin'. I really don't have a sense of which the kiddies would prefer. Which would YOU FP, soarin or test track?

Hi,

I would definitely FP Soarin'. The standby lines for Soarin' are almost always unbearable. Test Track standby lines can be long, but usually not as long as Soarin'.

I would go right to Test Track when Epcot opens, it shouldn't be too long a wait.

My kids would choose Soarin' over Test Track. So I would FP Soarin and try standby at Test Track.

My kids love Soarin so I got a FP for that one and we are going to TT at rope drop. But if for some reason we don't make rope drop or get to ride TT (which neither has done before) at least I know we will get their favorite Epcot ride in.

If we had to choose one, we would definitely choose Soarin. My children like it a lithe better (though we have not been on TT since the redesign). We will FP Soarin and then hot TT at RD to make sure we get to do both.

I agree with pp that Soarin has really long wait times but my DS (who was almost 5 on our last trip) could not get enough of Test Track. We waited in line and rode it multiple times -- it was all he wanted to do in Epcot.

We were in the same boat recently and chose soarin and am so glad I did. They loved it! My DD is 7 and my DS is 4. But I have a feeling my DD wouldn't enjoy test track.
Deidre :)

I think it depends on your child - my 4 y/o would NOT have liked Soarin', it would have been scary to her. So we chose Test Track based on that.

Is your almost 4 year old 40 inches tall??? That is the height requirement for both rides.

I would do soarin'. The problem with test track was that the ride was quite fast for my almost 5 year old. He loved everything that went with test track... making your car etc, but he could have skipped the ride.

I would ask them and see what they prefer. My four-year-old didn't want to ride either because they scared him.

My son (now 6) won't go anywhere near Soarin'. He has ridden Test Track but doesn't really like it.

Are they afraid of heights? Do they like to go fast? Have they don't anything like either before? That might help make a decision.

I agree, just depends on the child. Oddly enough when we were there the wait times for TT seemed longer than the wait times for Soarin. We did rope drop Soarin the first day (because it is in the same building as Sunshine Seasons, where we ate breakfast) and then we had a FP for it too. The second day we hadn't planned on rope dropping it but about na hour or two in the kids decided they wanted to eat breakfast at Sunshine Seasons and when we got there the wait was only 20 minutes so of course we had to go do it ;) My 7 year old *loved* Soarin, my 9 year old preferred Test Track, I don't think it has to do with their ages, my 9 year old is much more of an adrenaline junkie than her sister

My older two loved TT at 3 years old, better than Soarin'. However, my youngest was not ready for either ride at 3 and likely won't be at 5 either. We've found that Soarin' lines get longer faster. Since we love TT, we used to go there first thing and ride several times when the park first opened. Then worry about Soarin' with FP. That was in the regular FP days, but I'd think it would work for FP+ even more easily, as one person won't have to run over to Soarin' to get FP+.

Myself and DD prefer TT but DD likes Soarin' (I couldn't be bothered) so I FP+ Soarin' and we do TT at RD. The stand-by queue for Soarin' is insanely long most of the time and very boring so it's not something we're willing to stand in.
