Epcot Fastpass Experiment - Still happening?

I know that in April, Epcot was experimenting with the FP machines being
"un-linked". ( I know that is not really a word, but didn't know how else to phrase it ;) ) I guess this meant that you could hold more than one FP at a time.

Has anyone been the last couple of days and know whether or not they are still doing this? It was my understanding that is was only an April experiment, but it would be wonderful if this was still going on.

Anyone know?

Thanks

We were there 2 weeks ago and we got a FP for Test Track and noticed it said we could have another one right now so we got some for Mission Space.. And it did this every time so I guess it was working then!!

Yes, you are right. We were there last week, and I noticed my Fastpass from Soarin' said that I could get another Fastpass immediately :o)

Same for me. We got a FastPass for Test Track and it said that we could get another one immediately. :sunny:

Same for us last week. The only caveat is it has to be for a different ride. If you have a fast pass for test track, you cannot get another one for test track untill the fast pass time is over. You can however get one for another ride such as Soarin' or Mission Space.

Yeah, I would be interested in knowing if they are going to continue this. It was AWESOME getting to do this when I was there last week. You cannot hold two of the same ride immedaitely...you have to go get a different FP at another ride before getting another one for the same ride. I had an entire book of fastpasses for every ride in future world that offered one. I walked onto everything while I was there. Great stuff.

At work Sunday, 5/1, I noticed the Fastpasses were back to the wait time between them. Have no idea at this time if or when they may make it permanent for you to get another Fastpass right away but will keep everyone posted.

Best wishes.

If you get another fastpass immediately for a different ride, wouldn't that make the time for fastpasses later because more were being issued?

I suppose so. I never had a problem with the times getting stretched out unreasonably because most people didn't even know this was happening. Not many peeps take the time to read the small print....seriously. All my FP's were timed closely together and I had a freakin book of them...I walked onto everything all day long while a buncha peeps stood in the 65 min line at Test Track. Grrrreat stuff during my vacation.

I even tried to give away some of my FP's to the people standing around test track looking bewildered. They thought I was selling something and continued to stand in that horrific line. I couldn't understand this. I was friendly and was offering them an instant on to test track and no one would take them....just plain weird how brainless and skeptical most people are. I now have a couple of fast passes sitting here as souvenirs.

We were there 4/15 - 4/24. We noticed the change in Epcot Fast Passes at the end of our week. We always read when we can get the next pass & noticed immediatly when it said we could get one right away. (as mentioned above, just not for the same attraction) It was great! The return lines didn't seem any longer.
I hope they do that again in all the Parks, esp. during the busier times.

We just got back and we could not get as many fastpasses as you can. We went to Epcot 5/2. So, no they are not doing it anymore.

Bummer. I was hoping that they would continue this experiment into May. Well, congrats to all that were able to take advantage. I am sure it was great.

Off in 3 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:goodvibes
