Maybe this should be on a different forum....

I am having major issues deciding what our group should do the day we arrive. We should be at our resort to check in by noon.
Our group.
My Mother (loves good food) turning 64 on the trip
My Husband (36) enjoys anything at disney. Not a foodie, very picky. Loves Disney- will go where I say we are going.
Me (34) Love food, love trying new things. Somewhat picky.
Daughter- will be 17 months on trip. Very active- picky eater (corn dogs, mac n cheese, grilled cheese, fruits and some veggies)

Option A. After check in...Go to Boardwalk and enter countries from there. Stroll thru the little kiosks I have heard so much about. Just enjoying the food and sites. Have dinner at Biergarten at 5:30ish. Go back to room after dinner.

Option B. Check in, Enjoy the resort (Old Key West) pool, playground, watermice whatever. Maybe do an ADR at Boma's for dinner. We have never been to AKL or Bomas. DH and I can jet over to a thrill ride if we wanted to.

We have also never done F&W

I would say it depends on what kind of park tickets you have. Do you have an AP or is the first day included with a package?

I'll be purchasing a 10 day no expiration for our next trip, so I would go to Boma and not use a day on our tickets.

We're doing something similar, we arrive at YC around 9:30 or so. Check in and then head over to Epcot and wander the booths (once WS is open), and when we run out of steam (last year we were full around Italy! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: ) go back to the resort and get into our room and unpack and basically hang out. I've got a late ADR at Yacht Club Galley in case we're hungry later. Our plan of attack at F&W is we buy one of pretty much everything at a booth and we share it, so we get to taste everything.

What day of the week is this? There is a major difference in the F&W crowd level on weekends vs weekdays. If your fist day is a weekend, I would wait until a weeknight.

ALthough, when you get there, you will probably be so excited that you have to go SOMEWHERE! lol

have fun planning

This has been exactly our problem in the past! Although our resort seems to offer a lot of activities that we have never experienced, like water mice, surray bikes, paddle boats, etc.

Tickets- DH and I have APs, My Mom will have a 5 day Park Hopper. I figured if she wanted more days she can pay to add them on.

Day of Arrival- Sunday- Sept 30

I would have to redo my schedule to allow an evening of eating and strolling, I actually hadn't planned on doing much in WS since it wont offer our 17mon old anything and DH is so picky. But maybe thats a better way to go.

Usually I leave the first day open- with just a ADR somewhere. I believe we land at MCO at 10am, we are grabbing a rental car at National, I have found this system to be pretty fast (except for waiting for our luggage)

Our last 3 trips we always did a park the DoA..but change at WDW is fun....
