Headed down to the World during the last week of October and very excite. This will be our first on-site stay at Disney, so this will be our first chance to utilize EMH. We are three adults in our group and are late owls so we prefer to be in the parks as late as possible.

Soarin' and Test Track aren't must-do's for us as we will have already visited Epcot earlier in the trip, but we certainly wouldn't mind a ride or two on them, especially since we are open to using the single rider line for TT. But other than those two, should we expect to see short waits at the other attractions? Also curious to know if the WS shops and drink carts are still open during these hours, as we love to go from country-to-country browsing with a few drinks in hand. This is also during F&W so I'm not sure if it makes a difference.

We will be in the MK that day, but plan on hopping once the park closes at 7pm (MNSSHP night). I assume that many others may be thinking of doing the same so perhaps it will be best to leave MK a bit beforehand to beat the crowds.

But overall, do you guys enjoy Epcot evening EMH and recommend it? Will probably try it since we have never done it, but just want an idea of what to expect going into it.

I am curious about this as well. We are going in December and plan to utilize Epcot EMH for the World Showcase. Some of the crowd calendars have EPCOT as the worst park that day (12/8) but I am hoping that it won't be as noticable in the WS. Wishful thinking, maybe?

Yeah, most of the crowd calendars suggest avoiding parks with EMH, but I was thinking that doing a recommended park during the day and switching over to the EMH late at night may work.

Generally everything in Future World except the big two are walk-ons during evening EMH. Figment and Captain EO are probably closed, but I've seen them open late.

Up in World Showcase, it's slim pickins' for drinks and food. We waited one year until after Illuminations to grab a late CS dinner, and basically had China or Morocco to choose from. Most of the outdoor carts were closed too. There's not a great reason to be in World Showcase after Illuminations, head back down to Future World and ride a few things on the way out the door.

The evening EMH at Epcot almost seems useless if you are thinking you'd get a lot done at World Showcase.

I have enjoyed eve emh at Epcot twice but it never seems nearly as "productive" as eve emh at MK or HS. We enjoy the late atmosphere and certainly TT in the dark is neat. Having learned our lesson from a previous experience this last trip we bought cold water bottles and a snack right before closing... so much food service is NOT open during emh. It was the last night of our trip so we enjoyed being in the park late as it emptied out, we strolled to the IG exit as we were staying at Dolphin, nice end to our trip but wouldn't say we did more three or four rides if that.

That is really useful to know, thanks so much for the info. Looks like I'll be tweaking some of our plans.
