Good morning! We will be taking our first trip this september and I have a quick question regarding Epcot. We will be eating at cape may for breakfast and then heading over to Epcot for the day. Is cape may close enough to walk to Epcot afterwards? Is there more than one entrance go Epcot? And if so where will we end up if walking from the beach club? Thanks in advance!!:)

You have two options: take the boat or walk. If you walk, you walk along yacht and beach club and enter Epcot through what's called the international gateway. My husband calls it the back entrance. It's nice and much less crowded than the main entrance. It puts you in world showcase between England and France.

Exit the BC, face the lake, turn LEFT, start walking, you will end up at Epcot's International Gateway.

Thanks!! Is it a long walk in your opinion?

Exit the BC, face the lake, turn right, start walking, you will end up at Epcot's International Gateway.

I thought it was a left turn! A right will get you over to the Swan and Dolphin?

Walking to the International Gateway is the fastest way to get to EPCOT from the Beach Club. The dock for the launch is probably half the distance, but it can be a long wait in the hot sun for the next boat to show up.

Not long at all. 5-10 minutes to the International Gateway, depending on how quickly you walk.

Now, if you arrive before 11, the only thing open in the World Showcase is the French Bakery, so you will want to go through UK and Canada to get to Future World, another 7-10 minute walk.

Here's a few pictures from the Beach & Yacht Club FAQ:

Guests and visitors to the EPCOT resorts enter EPCOT through the International Gateway. This entrance takes you to the World Showcase, on a path that is in between France and UK.

I'm out of shape and 54 years old.

I could RUN from the Beach Club to Epcot. (OK, maybe not on an August afternoon.) And the odds are good that I could do it without medical intervention.

It's close-- really, close.

And it's a left turn from the BC lobby to Epcot along the water.

Correct, turn left. Although technically a right would get you there but would be a long way around the lake. :)

BC entrance near Cape to IG 460 yards.

BC entrance near Cape to boat 360 yards. But then ride to BW and then to EPCOT.

Spaceship Earth straight out to the lake 480 yards for comparison.

EPCOT bus drop off to Spaceship Earth 400 yards.

Are you staying at Beach Club? Because if you're staying anywhere other than Beach/Yacht, Boardwalk, or Swan/Dolphin and you are driving, it is generally not encouraged to park at Beach Club and then go to the park from there.

Now, if you're taking a cab or bus from another park, then you're fine :)

It is a left turn!! I don't know what I was thinking!

This was the big idea I had trouble getting my family to appreciate before we left. From Beach Club, the walk to Epcot is much shorter than the walks between many things INSIDE Epcot.

We did breakfast one morning in the French pavillion, the walk from our room to the bakery was less than the walk from the Main entrance to the park to the bakery.

We are staying at the contemporary with no car so really I now know how to get to Epcot from beach club but not really how to get from contemporary to beach club lol this transportation thing is the only thing that still confuses me!

Depending on what time your eating you have a few options A) Cab, B) if buses or monorails are running and if Epcot is open you can go to Epcot walk thru exit INternational Gatteway and walk to Beach Club. C) you can take a bus to Hollywood studios and walk or take the boat back to Beach Club

My idea to get from Contemporary to Beachclub. Take the Disneybus to HS and then get on the Freindship boat that would take you right to the dock. Good luck !! pixiedust:pixiedust:

How early is your breakfast? If buses are running to MK, walk from Contemporary to MK(5 minutes) and board the bus to Beach Club. This way you will get dropped off right at BC.

What time is your ADR? Timing makes a big difference when figuring out resort-to-resort transportation.

I didn't realize Hollywood studios was that close to beach club...our reservation is at 8:55 am so is it safe to say I could take the bus to Hollywood studios at that time and just walk to beach club? Does the boat run that early and would that be quicker than walking?

8:55 am...walking to MK and taking bus to beach club sounds like the easiest option so far if buses run that early?
