Epcot early opening what to see first

I am planning a trip to DW this spring and there are some new attractions since my last visit. I would like to go to Epcot on an early opening day and ride Soarin', Fast Track, and Mission Space. Do you have any advice for what to see first? Should I head straight to one ride for a FastPass and then stand in a shorter line for a different ride? I will be with my family so I can't use the single rider option.

I would honestly shoot Soarin' first, either ride or get a fast pass and then head over to Mission Space and Test Track.

Have a wonderful trip!

As to your question - I would go to Soarin' first, then Test Track, then Mission Space. Get a Fastpass for Soarin before you get in line so you can ride later without a line.

As a side note, I would NOT recommend going on an early (or late) entry day, the park will be more crowded on EMH days, which translates into longer lines! Just get to the park at opening on a non-EMH day and you should be fine.

I find that early opening days are great as long as you head out of the park by midday which would mean you would need the passhopper option. I would ride Saoring, get a FASTPASS for Test Track becuase it could have a line when you get there and then ride Mission Space. Since you will have some time before your FASTPASS opens up stay and play the games at the end of Mission Space or head over to Innovations to wait it out.

I would guess that in terms of length of line, it would be Soarin', Test Track, then Mission Space, so I'd try to do them (or get Fast Passes for them) in that order. We've never had a problem getting on Mission Space (even with FastPass), but we've waited a really long time for Test Track, and with Soarin' being new, it's going to be extremely popular.

I agree with you. We went last month and wanted to ride Soarin', since we were only there for 2 days we went ahead and went to Epcot on EMH morning. Soarin's line was already 40 mins wait time and the park wasn't open to everyone yet, just resort guests. For those that have been on Soarin' before, usually the stated time is an overstatement but this time it wasn't. The line backed all the way up to the first left turn once you enter the stand-by line. I've never seen it so backed up before. Usually the furtherest back we had ever been was in front of the second trivia tv. MS was a walk on. Test Track at the time was closed for refurb.

I'd even suggest maybe getting fastpass to Soarin' and then going to see Turtle Talk w/ Crush. Very cute the kids will love it. Even we laughed. Dude!

I note that you said that single rider lines aren't an option since you'll be with your family, but I suggest you still consider the single rider lines. Depending on the ages of your family members, etc., it can be a good option. I have an 11 yo DD and she is completely comfortable doing single rider lines at Test Track and Mission Space. We've saved LOTS of time using the single rider lines and then not being tied up with a fast pass return time dictating where we have to be when.

Just my 2 cents. While you are separated for the "experience," you're all together for the pre-show stuff.

Definately go to Test Track or Soarin' first because both fill up quickly. Fast pass one and wait in line for the other. Also, Mission: Space gets crowded. However, if you have motion sickness at all skip it. Also, Spaceship Earth is a good one to hit early in the day.

Thanks for the advice. I guess we'll head straight to Soarin' for either a ride, if the lines aren't too long, or to get a Fast Pass. Then head over to Test Track and then do Mission Space. I went on Test Track a few years ago and did the single rider line. The wait was nearly an hour, but there was only one person ahead of me in the single rider line. It was great!

However, this time I'll have my six year old with me, if he doesn't get scared, so I can't use the single rider line. My nine year old has already declared that she won't go on Test Track, but my six year old loves anything to do with racecars. I wasn't originally planning on taking him on Test Track, but he meets the height requirement. My husband hates any fast rides, rollercoaster, etc. So he can watch anyone who doesn't want to ride. I hope DH doesn't chicken out of Soarin'. One year I talked him into going onto Maelstrom (the Norway ride) -yeah, I know it's a relatively calm ride- and he was so proud of himself afterward. So maybe this time I can talk him onto a few other things as well. Both kids want to do Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and I already know it's going to be a big problem if one of them has to ride without a parent next to them. Do they do parent swap? First one child stays with the parent and then the other child? Just kidding.

WE WILL BE GOING TO DIFFERENT DAYS. THE FIRST IS THE EVENING WE GET THERE AND THE OTHER A THE FIRST HALF OF ANOTHER DAY THAT IS EMH? WHAT SHE WE DO OUR FIRST EVENING SINCE TEST TRACK WILL PROB BE OUT OF FAST PASSES?

ON OUR FIRST HALF DAY WE WERE THINK FASTPASS SOARIN GO TO TEST TRACK THEN GET FAST PASS TO MISSION SPACE ON WAY SOARIN.??? :confused3

When I was in Epcot last year, the FPs for Soarin' were gone before noon. I'm not sure if it's changed since then, but I would recommend doing Soarin' and Test Track in the morning bright and early. Grab a FP for one of them and ride the other, if time permits. Mission: Space was just a short 15 minute wait...much faster than I anticipated. If you want to do all 3 rides on your first half day in the evening, I would say FP Soarin', go to Mission: Space, then on your way to back to Soarin', grab a FP for Test Track.

But beware, if you get off Mission: Space sooner than you think, or have a FP for Soarin' later in the day, you may not be able to get a FP for Test Track. You have to wait after getting your first FP a set amount of time, depending on when that FP can be used, to get a FP for another ride. Just something to watch out for.

Whatever you do, have an AWESOME time!!!

THANKS! WE ARE GOING TO HAPPY WITH WHATEVER WE ARE ABLE TO DO. THIS IS A DREAM VACATION! :cloud9:

We just followed the mob to Soarin the early morning we were there and had a short wait but we were able to get on. FP's seemed to be gone quickly for it as well.
