Epcot Drinks

favorite beverage in the WS -- the Sultan's Colada at the Morocco stand (like a pina colada, only they add almond liquer to it...super yum)

Also the slushies in France, and the Bellini in Italy; the signature wine cocktail in Le Chefs de France.

My new all-time favorite non-frozen cocktail is the blackberry mojito from Grand Floridian Cafe. I've been ordering mojitos everywhere we go since we got back. None have come close to being as good as the one at the GF Cafe.

I've got a question - when you buy these drinks (wine, grey goose slushies, etc) do you have to drink them where you buy them, or are they given out in a glass that you can take with you through the park?

Also, I've seen pics of people with a small piece of pizza, or a small plate of cheese and I haven't seen these menu options (small samples is what they look like) on the allears menus, so is this something that is available but just not on allears or what?

Thanks in advance!!

yes, and yes - You can walk around with your drinks around the World Showcase - I dont believe you can take your drinks thru to the Future World section (maybe it was just during food and wine, but they used to sell alcohol in Future World)

Small samples are from the Food and Wine Festival (from last weekend in Sept to the first weekend in Nov (I believe I've got the time correct - I remember things wrong sometimes!)

It takes a few visits before you can sit and drink a grey goose slushie and just enjoy the time, and place!!

I just deleted since I dble posted but answered the WS question

WS = World Showcase -

I am not familiar with the posters experience of trying/buing the ws wine walk

Germany - you can buy a wine flight
Italy - has wines for purchase to drink and walk around with (if you buy the Rosa Regale champagne IN the store you get a chocolate - think chocolate covered strawberry - rosa regale is berry flavored!)
France - has a wine flight you can purchase

Food and Wine festival has even more wine flights!

Another wine alternative is a wine walk in WS. You get 2) 2 oz. glasses in France, Italy, & Germany for $20. Since you guys plan to share, everyone could get a sip to see what they do or don't like.

I've never heard of this! How do you participate in this? Dh and I would definitely be interested.

How do you do this? What does WS mean?

You go into the wine by the glass section in any of the three countries I listed & tell them you want to purchase the wine walk. They give you a card along with the 2) 2 oz. samples in the respective country. You then carry this card to the other 2 countries to get your wine there. The wines are predetermined, & listed on the card. In other words, you don't get to choose which wines you want. Personally, I would end with Germany, because their wines are generally sweeter than the others.

Disclaimer: We haven't actually done this yet. We found out about it a couple weeks ago, when purchasing wine by the glass in Germany. Now that we know about it, we'll be doing the wine walk in May. Maybe sooner, if we go to Epcot before then. ;)

While we're on the topic of alcoholic drinks, can someone tell me if you can get a small sample of the grey goose drink prior to purchasing it? I had the grand marnier last year and liked it, but would like to try the grey goose. My concern is that I'll be disappointed with it and mad that I didn't just stick with the grand marnier! I'd like to try it to make sure I buy the one I like the best

Based on everyone's opinions, I think I"m going to make a run to Mexico too for a margarita! :cool1:

Since the Grand Marnier was the only alcoholic drink I had on our 10 day trip last year, I'd say that was my favorite!

I'm soooo excited! We want to try a drink from each country. Not to worry, however, as we will probably be sharing each drink so we don't stumble into our Tutto Italia dinner looking like drunken messes. I do NOT want to be "THOSE girls" lol

Mexico - I prefer the regular Frozen Margarita - one of those flavors of layered margaritas I dont care for - but it is a pretty drink! Rumor has a tequila bar going in - so if that is true, I'd do a shot of a good tequila!!

Did you know you don't have to get all the flavors? You can just layer the ones you want? I had mine last year with just the lime and strawberry flavors, I don't like all the other ones either.

I love Gran Marnier - but have to be in the mood for the Gran Marnier Slush -
the Grey Goose Slush is sweet/tart - very refreshing, a lemon lime tangy - I dont think you can taste the vodka - but its there!

Perfect!! Thanks!!

This is in the "TGI Fridays Disney Drink Book" now available at all lounges and most Disney restaurants. I've tried to recreate this at home and it came out pretty good but not the same...I think simple syrup is an ingredient they use that is not listed in the TGI book. By the time you buy fresh blackberries and mint (plus the stoli blackberry), this turns out to be a not so cheap home drink.

I'm a beer girl, so I have to say that my favorite drink in Epcot was the beer flight at Biergarten. Mmmmm, Optimator.

My favorite is in France, the Pomegrante Kir. It's not on their menu, but you can still order it!!

Another vote for a Snakebite at the Rose & Crown. *sigh* They just don't seem to taste the same anywhere else as they do at Disney!

Thanks everyone!! I have cut and pasted these choices so when we go back in Dec. I can order one of everything! (especially the Grey Goose Slushie!)

OOH! Where in Italy can you get the bellinis?? Do they have multiple flavors too? One of my all time favorite drinks is a peach/strawberry bellini! :lovestruc YUM!

Is there a thread/site somewhere that lists all the different adult beverages available in The World??

And the wine walk sounds like a great idea!!!! :thumbsup2

I think we'll definitely try the Wine Walk. :)

I'm making a list of the drinks, a lot of these sound really yummy!

Do they add a shot of blackcurrant to it? That's my favorite part of a snakebite, it makes it taste all fruity and delicious!

MomofLogan&Evan - no, you cannot try a sample of the drinks. DD wanted to try something in Italy but wasn't sure she would like it. We asked for a small taste and they said they were not allowed to do that.

For wines, try Germany!

Second That! :thumbsup2 We enjoy the wine so much I make DH stop at a liquor store in New Hampshire every time we go to Maine so I can get a few bottles of the Valkenberg (sp?) Reisling - it is that good!

grey goose slushies in france
The slushies are great on a hot day!
This is DH w/his from our F&W trip last fall:

This is new to me, and will definately be on the "to do" list for upcoming trip. Thanks for the info!
