:drinking1 We'll be traveling to Epcot 6/19 with friends and are planning a drinking around the world marathon. We would like to hear about your experiences :listen: and/or your favorite drinks from the different countries around world showcase.
We usually do this as part of the food and wine festival, but have not tried the specialty drinks from each country. :goodvibes
David's favorite beer is the pint of Lowenbrow from Germany! Ticki Tocki Ticki Tocki Oe Oe Oe..... :drinking1

Met my inlaws at WDW for a long weekend (they are from NJ). My DH is not a drinker like his dad, they started in Mexico and we found them both in France.....DH was asleep on the bench and father in law was ready for a pint in England!

Looking forward to that in November.

For good beers.....
Dos Equios- Mexico
Tsing-Tao- China
Sapporo- Japan
Stella Artois- Belgium, but available at World beers near United Kingdom.
Moosehead- Canada

MickeyNicki- Thats a funny story. :rotfl: Tell DH to practice up so dad won't drink him under the table.

digskat- Thanks for some of your favorite picks. We're starting a list, I think there will be a lot of great responses.

We are going in June and plan to start with a 4 layered margarita! any

You can check out my first drinking around the world experience in my signature.

We had a blast drinking around the world. My finacee also passed out before the evening was over, and I wouldn't allow us to leave until I saw Illuminations.

It's good times, hope you enjoy!

4 Layered! I'll bet that's as good as it sounds! Do you get that right out side Mexico?

Excellent story. I had to take a break from reading and go back, but there were a lot of funny things on your trip. And if the tag fairy ever reads that, I think you provided plenty of material to work with.
Question, you never mention which beer is your favorite?

It is great to drink around the world during F&W. They add some extra booths, so there are even more choices. I like dark beer and there were several Octoberfest selections in some of the countries. It is quite the challenge and quite fun. Noone would take the beer challenge with me, but they decided to have some Bellinis in Italy. It is like an international pubcrawl. :drinking1 :drinking1 :dancer: :drinking1 :drinking1

I think you need to into Le Cellier, but, Ice Wine Martinis are incedible!

Keep in mind that there are 11 countries around World Showcase lagoon. Add to that the various stand-alone beer/wine stands and you've got much more booze that one person can handle. Please drink responsibly.

Ahhh the wonders of Disney Transportation! DESIGNATED DRIVERS!!! Now if we could only remember where we parked our resort! :rotfl2:

After reading Amy's tale of drinking around the world and laughing like crazy - I can't wait till we get there for our family reunion next week! I'm sure my brother will be the "seat keeper" for illuminations for us!! We'll have to see how many worlds he can make it through before we have to park *him* by the lake!!

Thanks for the tale and the laughs!

We had such an amazing time, we haven't attempted the whole thing again. We usually get stuck in the UK. My favorite beer is Boddingtons followed closely by Guiness and then Becks Dark in Germany.

Glad you enjoyed the trip report, it was fun to do.

And I'm excited to try the ice wine on our next visit, I've heard amazing things but haven't tried it!

Boddingtons!!! David gives this one a big thumbsup!!! :thumbsup2 I think we still have one in the fridge. YES :woohoo: Can't wait for our visit on 6/19.

I only had Boddingtons for the first time at Rose and Crown. Then I found they had it at a couple local bars and liquor stores and I was in heaven. It's a little heavier than some beers but it never fails to make me think of being in the pub watching people walk by. Mmm...Boddingtons.

Also a favorite in UK, Woodpecker Cider.

Try Ringnes in Norway, this is also one of our favorites.

Next time I'm going to do some wine tasting...

We live in West Palm and you live near Disney, so I'm sure your familiar with Publix, that is were we buy or Boddingtons.

I have tried the Woodpecker Cider, but not the Rignes will have to try that!

We love wine!!! Do the Food and Wine Festival for some great sampling!
