Is there a list somewhere of the best drinks in each country? Other than just going to each and every menu here?

I'm sure someone somewhere must have a DATW trip report somewhere, right?? :rotfl:

I want one of those little Grand Marnier Slushies right now!! :drinking1

I haven't found one but I did drink around the World while on my 22nd bday trip. I was kinda disappointed, cause I drank quite a lot and was most definitely on the sober side of buzzed. :confused3

But... I'll tell you what I had.

UK - Woodpecker cider...it was either going to be this or the Strongbow because I do not like 'beer'. The cider was just right for me.

France - Grand Marnier slushie! So good :lovestruc but next time I'm going to try the Lemon citron one.

Italy - hmm.. I think it was called a Bellini :confused3

Skipped AA and Germany...once again don't like beer

I completely forgot about the tea slushie that I wanted in China and will be drinking it on the next go around:rolleyes1

Mexico - I had two...count em 2 of those margarita stand Fiesta Margaritas

and like I said still sober, and I am not a drinker. I only ever drink on vacation...maybe twice a year. I definitely get stronger drinks when I actually go into one of the hotel bars or at a restaurant. You can also ask for recommendations at some of the kiosks, thats how I found the Woodpecker cider.

Hope that helped!

is there anything in Morrocco or Japan??

I don't know if anyone will know of this but we call it a nuts and berries

1 part Chambord, 1 part Frangelico, 1 part good vodka, 2 parts heavy cream, shaken over crushed ice, poured out in to martini glass , DWs favorite

morocco has a couple slushie type drinks in the back of tangeriene cafe. the tangeriene cocktail used to be really good, but they changed it. recently, i had a moroccorita from the stand outside, and it was lemony and tart. reminiscent of the italian margarita, but not as good!

as for japan, i've heard of a sake bar. not my thing though.

If you like wine, there was an interesting "tasting menu" for France, Germany, and Italy. I think -- we didn't do it, so I don't remember the specifics. I think it was $20 bucks and included 4 glasses of wine? Maybe it was only 3?

The wine in France is good! And so is the Grand Marnier slushie - so refreshing on a hot day!

If you are looking for a heavy snack to accompany the wine, the patisserie in France sells a cheese plate - yum! [It does NOT count as a snack credit, if you are on the DDP, but you can add a sweet and a drink and have it count as a CS meal. The sweets are AMAZING.]

Is the tasting menu cover all 3 countries? Or is there a different one in each? Is it only available during F&W?

There are separate wine tasting areas in France, Italy, and Germany. All are within the gift shops - the French shop is located to the left of the movie theater if you are looking at the theater. The wines are set up on the counter near the cash register and you just pick how many want to taste. Same with Italy - set up on the cash register counter in the shop to the right of the clock tower. Germany is my favorite as far as ambiance is concerned. It's in the back of the shop to the left of the Biergarten restaurant, and there's a couple bar tables in there. If it's not too busy in the afternoon and you get a "flight" of wines from a particular region, the CM will bring a map to your table and point out where each wine is from and what it's characteristics are. It's nice and cool in there too - we always escape there several times during our trip!

BEST drink from Morocco is the Sultan's Colada -- like a pina colada but with the addition of almond liqueur. Fabulous. Available at the cart in front of Morrocco.
