Epcot DP site for more than an hour?

I would really like our DP site for more than an hour. The consultant suggested having my dinner reception there and then the dessert ceremony and we could have it more. I was thinking that we would do a brunch so that would not really work. I wonder if we did an hors d'oeuvre thing there and then the dessert party that might work. Do you think they would let me have it for more time then?

I know I few brides here have added appetizers to their DPs. Things like a cheese plate, antipasto platters and maybe even a few hot ones.

I don't know if that will extend your DP time, though. You'd have to ask your planner or sales person.

I have mine for 1.5 hours. I think I would have been allowed to have it even longer...but I didn't feel the need for it, since we all have to get up so early the next day. We are using a cocktail style menu, as opposed to desserts, so there is definitely a lot of finger food options if you are looking to add that on

You can extend the dessert party time - either by paying a prorated per-person fee for food service during the additional time, or just booking the venue but keeping food service to one hour. Usually that's plenty of time to eat desserts.

My DP is going to be a welcome party as well, so we decided to extend the DP. Ours is starting at 7:30 and going to 9:30. We are having passed warm hors deurves and possibly adding a dessert as well.

The only time you cannot add on to your DP time is EMH for EPCOT. We couldn't add on because we got married on a Friday and that is the night for EMH at EPCOT, but I don't know if we really needed more time anyway plus everyone was exhausted by then!
