Hi,

My family and I are going to be heading to Disney soon and I was hoping to get some input from people on here.

I am looking at making 3 dining reservations at EPCOT for our 6 day stay and am deciding between 4 different places (mostly lunches) my choices are

Teppan Edo
Le Cellar
Via Napoli
Rose and Crown (mostly cause I like the beer there lol)

We have a 4 yr old daughter and I have heard people mention that Tepan Edo is fun for kids? Is this correct?

Any input would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

Also what do people think of the captains grill at the YC vs say Kouzzina or say Le Cellar?

Thanks again

Well, you have two places with a more "upscale" feel--Teppan Edo and Le Cellier--and two that are more casual. I guess I would consider which of those two experiences you would prefer and drop one of the others. Teppan Edo is more of an experience than Le Cellier, since the chef cooks at your table and puts on a show as they do. Some chefs are better than others, so the quality of the experience can vary based on that.

Of the four you list, I'd honestly think Le Cellier would be the least interesting for a four year old and it's definitely going to cost you more than Via Napoli and R&C. The food is decent (although not as great as the hype, IMO), but there's not much going on other than the food.

On the other hand, if it's the beer you are going to R&C for then consider that some of the best beers in all of WDW are the Unibroue varieties carried at LC. Bass, Harp, Boddingtons and whatever they have at R&C these days are fine, but pretty pedestrian offerings in the overall scheme of things. Some of the Unibroue beers at LC are truly special.

It is a difficult decsion - we dont go to Teppan Edo, because we have a great Japanese Teppanyaki Restaurant here - (not Benihanas an independent restaurant!) I will say when my kids were younger the fire they lit, scared them... but other children do like it - and then the food, my kids only ate the rice when they were little, and they didnt like the dessert offerings..

Again, check the menu at Via Napoli - I've not been, but seeing pictures and reviews, its not what my family would like, but others do

We do love Rose and Crown and LeCellier... the kids love the desserts at LeCellier, we've had servers that made it fun

want another? for Lunch - what about Chefs de France, time it to see Remy?

Teppan Edo would be a great choice with a 4 yr. old. The chefs put on a fun show and keep everyone entertained during the cooking process. I have 2 picky eaters who claim not to like asian food and had no interest in eating at Teppan Edo. They were so impressed by the chef, they cleaned their plates and asked to return.

Le Cellier is one of the hardest ressies to get so there's a good chance the decision is made for you :)

You sat you are going soon. How soon? Restaurant ADR's (Advanced Dining Reservations) are available 180 days in advance. In busy seasons most theme park restaurants book to capacity way in advance. Restaurants do not hold tables for "walk ups".
You should go on line and see what is available during your visit.
If available, I think Rose & Crown, Teppan Edo and Via Napoli would all be good with a 4 year old.
Good Luck finding something availble.

Agree that getting ADRs may be your biggest issue if you are going to WDW "soon" = during the summer, which is peak season.

Teppan Edo does not excite me because, like another PP, we also have pretty good teppanyaki available at home. Le Cellier is pricey if you are paying OOP and not particularly kid-centric.

With a 4 year old daughter I'd suggest you look at Biergarten in Germany (good beer, good food, occasional entertainment for the whole family) and Askerhus in Norway (wall-to-wall princesses, b/l/d).

Thanks for all for responses so far.

We are going in about 2months (soon to me i guess lol). I have reservations at Tepan Edo and Via Napoli so far of the ones I mentioned, but seem to be doing ok with finding openings so far when looking at others. We also have reserved the Cinderella lunch at MK and the charactger breakfast at beach club for during the trip.

I am debating if we should change Via Napoli to Le Cellar and may be adding rose and crown soon.

This is the first time I have made so many reservations as usually we go with the "luck" method. We are lucky to be staying at YC this trip (only other time we have stayed on property was all stars many years ago) so we are doing more EPCOT meals due to location of resort.
