Epcot Dining...decisions, decisions

We are not doing a park hopper, so the one day we're in Epcot is it! That stresses me out a little because it seems like Epcot has some of the more fun food choices. I can't decide whether we should go with something fancy or exotic--like the Canadian steakhouse or Japan--or if we should stick to something like Garden Grill with character dining. Our daughter is only 4, so I'm thinking I know what her vote would be. Help! :confused3

We absolutely love Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco. Lamb, Couscous, Mint tea, mmmmmmm. They have kid items off menu, so don't be afraid to ask, They will even make very plain couscous for the kids. My DS loves Couscous and he has been eating it since he was 2. We eat it at least once a week. They have traditional Live Moroccan Music and a belly dancer may come out to entertain also. The food is always good, service is great, and we have never had to wait for our ADRs.

Epcos always the hardest decision for me too due to so many choices. Akershus is good, it's a princess meal, and the food is probably some of the most unusual in the park. Most of the restaurants have a great atmosphere. It's so hard to choose just one.

I also vote for Marrakesh. We started taking DD there when she was 4 and she loved it. They have a belly dancer who just might get your DD up on the dance floor with her. The food is delicious, not at all spicy and wonderfully prepared.

If that is not to your liking I'd go with another of the World Showcase countries. You can eat with the characters in any of the parks and at many resorts. EPCOT offers such unique, cultural dining experiences that you can't get elsewhere. We've eaten in all of the EPCOT sit-down restaurants and enjoyed each of them. Our favorites are Mexico, Germany (which also offers entertainment that your 4yo would probably love), Italy, Canada and, of course, Morocco.

Have a great trip!

My suggestion would be to choose 3 or 4 that you would like to do and not get your heart set on one. That way you'll be happy even if you can't get reservations at your first (or second) choice.:thumbsup2

Don't forget the Biergarten in Germany: buffet with lots of choices (carved meats, schnitzel, sausages, potatos a few ways, multiple veggies, salads, breads, desserts, etc.) and the band is quite entertaining and gets the kids involved to go down onto the dance floor and dance around and such if you are there during one of the show times.
