Epcot Date Night

My husband and I are getting a date night to celebrate our anniversary on our upcoming trip at the end of April. We plan on getting to Epcot about 4 or 5 and have no plans. I have been so many times so I tend to pass over the little things. My husband has only been a handful of times with me. We have quick service dining plan so we don't want to do a sit down meal.

What would you do? What is your perfect night? What is your favorite things that might be passed over?

Congratz, My anniversary is also at the end of April.

For a date night, skip Future World and go straight for the World Showcase. I would definitely do a sit down though. You are not going to get a romantic atmosphere at a QS.

Get drinks at the different countries. I suggest you share a drink from each country. Because even though it doesn't taste like there is any alcohol in them, you will get yourself more than a buzz. My wife and I each had a drink around the world starting in Mexico. By the time we reached France, we had to go, my wife could barely stand. I however was in good shape and was going to finish strong.

Visit the Pastry shop in France to take something back to the room for a late night indulgence.

Grab a seat to watch the illuminations show.

Have him grab you some trinket as a romantic gesture so you can remember the night.

Have fun, I am jealous.

I don't have a favorite place. I don't sit and waste time for these shows. Where ever I am at the time is where I watch it.


BTW, the pastry shop in France was recently named one of the 5 best pastry shops in Orlando.

This our plan for our upcoming trip also.

We are going to drink around the world and indulge on all foods, go back to the hotel in a food coma and enjoy being childless until midnight. haha

For QS I would pick Rose and Crown takeout then go to the seating to the left. It's a very nice seating area.

For little things.
Coy fish pond by Japan.
Walking completely around Morocco.
Walking completely around France.
Pastry in France and sit outside.
Boat rise across the lake!
So many things to do....

A perfect night at epcot would be chips and gauc with a margherita in Mexico, splitting a dessert in Norway and Germany, sake flight and wandering Mitzukoshis in Japan, pictures and throwing a penny wish in France (really nice lighting at night there), catching the British Revolution performance in UK, picking up a scotch at the Rose and Crown and wandering the gardens and waterfall in Canada. I wouldn't take the time for sit-downs, there's just so much to see and explore.

There are some beautiful and romantic nooks scattered throughout the WS. My favorite is probably in Morocco. If you go through the shops there are some back alleyways with mosaics and fountains. I also love looking over the waterfall in Canada.
Unless a full meal is important to you, it may be more fun and special to pick out treats to share from a few spots around the different pavilions.
As for Illuminations, I love watching from the bridge between France and the UK. This spot tends to fill up quickly, though. With the set up of the lagoon there are hardly any bad places to watch the show so if you aren't interested in waiting for a specific shot, I second davper in suggesting that you just stop where you're at whenever the show starts. They'll give an announcement when they're getting ready to turn off the lights and that can be your cue.

If you want to try a wine flight and maybe some appetizers (sometimes my husband and I do that for dinner) you may want to try Tutto Gusto wine cellar in Italy.. it's a lot of fun!

DH and I love doing date night dinner at Le Cellier! Visiting other countries for drinks and people watching/strolling before sounds fab to me!
