Epcot Counter Services

So... We are a vote against sunshine seasons. We ate there last fall, but 1) did not care for our food (and we are not picky adult eaters) and 2) we are not fans of having to go to many different lines/locations for food because we have kids and this gets hectic. My advice is to go anywhere in WS. We like the Yorkshire fish shop for fish & chips and like the French CS as well. Did not try tangerine because we have kids and didn't know how they'd like it, but have heard many rave reviews for that also.

I agree, not a fan of Sunshine seasons. Having to go to different stations to can get hectic and time consuming.
Our favorites are La Cantina de San Angel in Mexico and Yorkshire Fish & chips.

Another vote for Tangierine Cafe. My daughter is most disappointed if we miss a visit there.
I almost never eat in FW. WS abounds with far more interesting dining options.

Lol and Kevin is a little over 30 days to Disney so he is in Disney mode I'm thinkin. I know hubs and I are too!
35 days...and I started packing today. My wife thinks that I am nuts...and she would be correct!!!

Norway and Morocco get my top votes, but sunshine seasons comes in right after, especially if it is hot because it has a lot on indoor seating.

Can't wait to go to Sunshine again my 9 year old son raves about the pizza panini to this day.

We also like Mexico and have heard that some new additions are really good.

Epcot has a lot of great CS locations. My favorites are:

Sunshine Seasons
Tangerine Cafe
Boulangerie Patisserie
Tutto Gusto

DW loves Yorkshire Co. Fish Shoppe. DS13 loves Sunshine Seasons. DS4 will eat anything. Personally I prefer a Grey Goose slush on the right side of World Showcase and a La Cava margarita on the left!

Thank you all for your opinions.

We are going the last week of October and my daughter will be 12 (Oct 3rd) and is not really interested in character meals anymore. She wants to try different things, she is 12 going on 21. :p

This is what we have:

OCT 26, MON-arrive from SC and do DTD. We are having dinner at Boma that evening.
OCT 27, TUES-breakfast at BOG and dinner at Crystal Palace (my husband loves CP) and obviously a MK day.
OCT 28, WED-dinner at Biergarten (Germany), wanted a counter service for this day and this is an EP day.
OCT 29, THUR-we have breakfast at Chef Mickeys (i have always wanted to have breakfast here and i love the Disney characters)
We have tickets to MNSSHP and we have never been to it before. So from 4-12 we will be in MK. We figured and early dinner at CHH
this night.
OCT 30, FRI-we have lunch ressies for BOG and will finish up whatever we did not get done at MK and head over to EP. We leave this night and drive a couple of hours home. Drive the rest of the way home on Saturday.

We were looking for a couple of WS or Epcot counter services for Wed lunch and Fri dinner.

We will be there during the Wine and Food Festival too. Would that be a good option instead?

I tried to get ressies for Akershus for either time, but it just seems too expensive anymore with out the appetizer buffet and the picture package. Plus my daughter is not really into Disney princesses anymore, she would just want to have the food. We could d the Norway counter service for that.

I thought of the English counter service too.

That would give us Africa (Boma), Germany (Biergarten), French (BOG), then Norway and England.

She has had Asian food, Mexican food and Italian food.

I have heard great things though about Sunshine and I want to try it. :)

Also, we are on the dining plan and have snack credits.

Maybe go ahead and eat at the counter services for Norway and England and then use our snack credits for some Food and Wine treats?

Sunshine seasons at Epcot is a good choice for your Wed lunch or Fri dinner, but if you're over in World Showcase you might not want to walk all the way back to The Land Pavilion. In WS, I would suggest Fish and Chips in the UK or anything at Tangierine Cafe in Morocco. You guys can definitely get full eating different things from the F&W booths, we usually skip dinner a couple nights and just do this - we find it satisfies the hunger and it's fun in the process.

All the above is true - just want to add that the F&W strategy can get pricey, esp. when you keep walking by booths with something else new that looks too good to pass up......not that I'm speaking from experience or anything.........

Yorkshire, Yep..

Les Halles

Sunshine..... My fav's All the others are good as well.

YESSSSSSSSS I think that would be more fun! Unless you were wanting a sit down time, tasting your way around the world is the best way to try different things like your 12 year old may want to do.....definitely feeling adult!

I was not a super big fan of Sunshine Seasons.. I didn't hate it, the food was ok, but not great (admittedly, I just may have not found "my thing" there yet). The ordering and paying process can be a little bit confusing. I think it's overrated.

My personal pick currently is Electric Umbrella. It has the best CS burger in WDW, the French Dip burger. Another plus is that it has a self-serve pop machine.

I agree. Sunshine seasons is ok. We will eat there if need be. There are plenty of other places that have better quality food. If you want variety, this is a good place but the quality of food is ok. Lotus blossum and the one in Mexico are pretty good.

We love Sunshine Seasons. We go there every time we are in EPCOT. I also like the Yorkshire County Fish Shop. This next trip we're going to try Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie.

Sunshine Seasons is also inside and air conditioned. Great on a hot or rainy day!
