We are going to WDW in mid August (arriving 14th August). We would probably eat at about 5-6pm and are struggling to get table service reservations at Epcot for dinner (boy they go quick!). What are the lines like at about that time? Quite like the flexibility of choosing different places with our picky eaters anyway. Thanks.

We go around that time every year. Usually a few days later. The summer crowds are mostly gone… that does not by any means mean it is empty. But I have never had any issue nor any long lines at CS and most TS places you can get same day. I can say I have never had an issue eating where we wanted. Side not we do not like nor eat at a place like Ohana I have said the same many times did not like much when it was 12 bucks, 18 bucks…. and the options were better and still don’t care for it.

I agree with mobile ordering. On my last trip I went to Connections Eatery at peak lunch time and the line to order at the register was MASSIVE. I mobile ordered and got my food within 5-10 minutes. It was super quick and easy to do.

Thanks all that's very helpful. Will check out the mobile ordering option. Last went in 2004 - so much has changed!!

Food and Wine is also on so there are a lot of food booths all around World Showcase. We go every year at this time and you can usually find booths with shorter lines (and lots of variety). So that's also an option.

There is no reason not to set your mobile order early in the day with your preferred time. Then it just has a short wait for the food to come out.

As a PP mentioned, F&W will be happening, which will take some burden off QS. I've never had any problems getting last minute day of ADRs at Epcot but I'm not picky about place or time. I usually just eat at the booths though. As others have said, mobile ordering is your friend. I don't do it often but when I do I don't do it early in the day either. Who knows at 9:30 in the morning where and when they are going to want to eat lunch? Not me. Again, I'm not picky about time or place so I've always been able to find something within a half hour from the time I'm ordering.

Quite a few of the WS QS places don't use mobile order. I don't think Sunshine Seasons has it right now, either.

We used mobile order most of the times and it didn't take much time at all. Once, however, the mobile app return time was 2 hours later, but the in person line was short.
