I have skipped a few days plus skipped around browsing posts, but any update on when the Monorail to EPCOT might be back?

They've installed fastpass+ wait and return signs outside Ratatouille. Whats left to do before they announce the opening? We are hoping to ride it during our nov-dec. trip this year.

Installing a sign isn’t necessarily indicative of an opening. Latest rumors say it won’t be ready until December at the earliest and it sounds like Disney would rather hold it for 2021.

Boooooo. I was wondering what else would need to be done since it already looks complete.

They have to train staff to run it.
Thats not what’s going to hold up opening it. As stated above, it will most likely be held until 2021 by upper management as they will want a bigger opening crowd for it. Training CMs for a new ride could literally be done in a day if they needed to.

Except no one has been assigned to it, and it’s a complex enough ride to require at least three days of training, and about 70 cast members a day to run it. And of course they’d need to train some trainers to train the rest of the cast.

So there’d definitely need to be a few weeks notice before it could open, if not longer.

Rumors from the site that cannot be named says that the internal construction at Remy's is at a standstill, as the project is not a current priority.

Martin from wdwmagic said - paraphrasing - couldn't open until mid-december, save for late winter, early spring. Early next year favored. No opening date, just a probable window
