I constantly read people on this board bashing the Chinese restaurant at Epcot. I just wanted to report that I ate there last weekend and it was very good!! Of course it was expensive for Chinese food but everything at Disney is expensive (ex. $10 for lunch consisting of a chicken wrap and a coke). Anyways just wanted to let you guys out there know it's not the end of the world if you can't get into lecellier or coral reef:banana:

I've ate there in November, and it was good as well. Very expensive for regular Chinese food, but still tasty. However, once you have eaten at restaurants like Le Cellier and The Coral Reef, it makes Nine Dragons look very bland.

What did you have? Thinking about changing my reservations from Kona's to China.

I had the honey crispy chicken, but in all honesty, I personally liked Kona better. I ate there last December and it was really good. They may have changed chefs since then, but it was good, espcially the marinated flank steak.

I ate at Nine Dragons for Candlelight Processional Package and was also pleased. It is exactly what you get in any chinese restaurant in any city, but I love chinese food so it was all good. I got half tristar appetizer plate (pot sticker, egg roll and shao mai---normally serves 2, but I asked the waiter if I could get it for 1 person), General Tso's chicken and ginger cake. My friend had gotten the honey sesame chicken and I tried hers, but I liked mine better. I am glad that I tried it, but I still have so many restaurants on to-do list so I won't be returning for awhile. I will be glad when they renovate it since it looks so dated.

I have been to Kona and was underwhelmed...the best part was the bread & butter at the beginning. I had sticky wings (nothing special), coconut almond chicken (no taste whatsoever), orange smoothie (wonderful!) and macadamia nut tart (similar to derby pie in the south---good, but I was stuffed).

Isn't it closing? for a rehab?
We LOVE chinese food and eat it probably once a week at home. We get great chinese at home. Nine Dragons just didn't wow us. It was below average takeout quality for us- and expensive to boot. The waiters were nice though.
Oh and I think they are heavy on the MSG because we all got headaches after eating there.
Too bad because my kids really love Chinese food(even Dim Sum)
Oh and on Kona this was our favorite by far for a while(that macadamia Mahi Mahi was TO DIE FOR!) but they have taken that off the menu- so we took it off our list(And the recent reviews have not been favorable) Sad because I do love that Chocolate Volcano.
