I see that they have a spot at Epcot to meet some characters. Anyone know which ones are typically there? Thanks!

For the Chase Card spot? I've gotten Mickey and Pluto then another time Mickey and goofy

Is there a FP for the Character Spot? I read that there was but cannot add it to my touringplans. We're going end of Feb; do we even need it? Thanks!

At the Chase Visa card spot we have gotten Mickey both times we did it. At the EPCOT Character spot we have met Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto. A few years ago we also ran into Stitch.

or are you talking about the character spot by some country where characters are practicing?
We had Goofy, Pinocchio and Winnie the pooh back there in May
I cant even tell you where it was because we just came upon it between two countries there is a side street and there they were

We went and did the meet and greet in the character spot as one of the first things in Epcot. Standby was 10 min. An hour later it was 65 min! We for it done and out of the way early :)

Mesaboy2's thread is awesome, but this is one thing I disagree with. I'm no Disney expert, but almost whenever I look at my app showing the lines, the Epcot Character Spot is almost always a longer wait than the other ones mesaboy2 has rated as a B. It seems to almost always have a wait of 30 minutes throughout the day, whereas Maelstrom for example has almost no lines when it first opens around 11, spaceship earth has short waits closer to the evening, and mission space is kind of random, but usually has a shorter wait.

With that said, I'm basing it all on reported times by the app.

Over time, I have associated Maelstrom with 30-45 minute waits on average and since ECS moved, waits there have dropped from 45 minutes or more (where I had it as an A at the time) to closer to 15 typically. There are certainly times of the day where waits at any ride are atypical--you gave some good examples--but on average these attractions have the waits I mention here.

Reasonable people can disagree.
