I was thinking of going around WS and getting candy from each of the countries. Do each of the countries sell candy? If so, could you tell me what kinds?

I don't know if all of the countries do, but I know Japan and UK do. I love, LOVE Curly Wurly's from UK! It's a long twisty caramel & chocolate candy. I usually by one each trip, but in December they were out, so I can't wait until sunday to get me one!!!

There's tons of all sorts of gummi bears (and other shapes) in Germany! :goodvibes

We purchased several things in Japan and enjoyed all of them. I saved them all and brought them home, wish I'd tried them while we were there, because I would have bought more!!

The coffee crisps in Canada are so good (my husbands family is from Canada and they always get them for us) I noticed they sell them in the Roots store there at the Canadian Pavilian.

They are like giant Kit Kats with a coffee flavor to them

YUMMMMMMM :thumbsup2

We did this very thing this year when we went to WDW and it was so much fun trying many different varieties. We also tried some cookies from some of the countries as well. As others have mentioned Japan has a wide variety to choose from as well as Germany. We also bought a blue box (can't remember what it said on the box), of Disney character shaped chocolates at Goofy's candy store in DDT, they were soooooo gooood!!!

Remember to go to this little store in the UK pavilion. I forget what it's called... but it has British candy bars. Try the "Crunchie" and the "Flake"!

I had the perfect experience- watching The British Invasion while eating a Crunchie bar. Pure heaven. :cloud9:

We bought rice candy from Japan. I used to get it when I was little from a store called pier one. I was so excited when I found it in Japan. It is really fun because you can eat the inside wrapper. My little ones got a kick out of it....

That is a great idea, buying candy in every country, I wish I thought of that.

Have fun!!

Occasionally in the UK pavillion we have found oarnge flavored kit kats. MMMMMMMM Curly Wurly's are great and Buttons. Pokey from Japan, its like unsalted pretzel cookie sticks dipped in chocolate soo yummy. Being Canadian its weird to see Coffee Crisp in the Canadian pavillion. When I can get them at home.. But DH always gets some swedish fish at the Canadian pavilion, they are like gummy fish and he can never find them here and we live a half a hour away from the Allan's candy plant that makes them. Weirdsville.

Italy has some hard candy. Some good..some not so much but it was fun to buy a few pieces of some.

They've got some very pretty looking candies in Japan. Some of it is way to pretty to eat! I've still got some saved from going to Epcot last year! :rotfl: They were little sugar marbles that looked like real glass marbles, and gummi sushi that are just way too cute to eat!

LOl im from the UK - so weird to hear you guys raving over curly wurlys - they are like everyday fodder over here! Now mountain dew is something to coo about, we havnt been able to buy it in the UK for years and years... Only place u can buy it is on internet for like $1.80 a can..

Glad u like cadburys tho... although watch out cadburys recently had a salmonela scare in their chocolate bars.. (lovely news for a disney site eh? :)

Our local Blockbuster sells Swedish Fish.

Do they have fudge in the UK? I don't know how I'll cope without lol.

Tip for Curly Wurly's. Buy some take them home and stick them in your freezer. They are even better. They are really low on my diet but last longer when frozen. Judging by whats for sale they have a lot of cadbury's things for sale. Hope they have some decent crisps. Not offence but American Chips just don't hit the mark.

I always take chocolate and teabags over to my cousin in NY.

What a great idea!!! Im gonna write a few of these down and try them when we go.. they sound yummy..

btw.. We have swedish fish everywhere here in Texas.. Walmart, Target, CVS.. They are quite good..

DH and I did this back in 1999 just for fun-we hit each country and got a certain candy~either chocolate or some other sort, and brought them home as souveneirs.... whenever we needed a bit of that Disney magic, we'd take out our Disney candy bag and select a piece to sample :)

The chocolates in Germany are very good. DD loves to get the peanut butter cups there. :cool1:

We did this last year. I gave each of my boys $20 and with it they had to buy candy from each of the pavilions in Epcot. The deal was that it had to be something different and there had to be enough to share with all of us. They almost made it on the $20, too! It was loads of fun and we had a neat souvenir when we got home. Each night we would have one country's candy in order starting in Mexico. This is the one thing they have asked to do again in February!

Yes most of the countries have candy, Japan is my favorite, UK, Italy and Germany are good too!!!
