Epcot bus changes

Here are the changes to bus service at Epcot, to accommodate the earlier monorail closing.

The bus to DHS has been moved from Load Zone (LZ) 9 to the charter bus lot. It's just slightly further, but it is out in the open except for a small tent canopy.

The bus to WL/FtW has moved from LZ 4 to LZ 9, the former DHS LZ.

A new LZ 3 has been created, which at this time is just a rope queue out in the open. After monorail closing, a bus will run from LZ 3 to TTC & CR. A separate bus will run from LZ 4 to Poly & GF. So, just 2 resorts sharing a bus. LZ 3 & 4 are unused during the day, unless the Epcot monorail goes down, in which case a shuttle to TTC will run from there.

The directional signs have been updated, but there are no signs in the load zones alerting guests to the changes, so there were more than a few guests waiting in the wrong load zones. That's not so much a problem for DHS, because the new DHS LZ is within easy sight of the old one. But I found one poor lady waiting in LZ 4 for a bus to WL that would never come.

When the Contemporary/Transportation & Ticket Center bus leaves Epcot do you know where it will be stopping first? In the late 1990's and early 2000's when the Contemporary buses use to only stop at the TTC, on the way back from Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney the buses would first let guests off at the TTC and the Contemporary was the second stop.

Thanks for the information (and for helping the poor lady:thumbsup2).

To tell you the truth, and this is just an assumption, and I havent actually driven it yet and dont work out of Epcot alot but I would think they will go to Contemporary first and then go to TTC. Disney likes to do things safely and they dont always go by the shortest route but what is the safest way for the bus to go and not get into an accident. Its hard to get out of TTC and make that left out of TTC whether it be the side or the front. Like I said its only an assumption. I could be wrong. Also, if nobody on the bus is going to Cont. then they will go directly to TTC.

Thanks for your reply and I hope you are correct. Personally I would hope the bus stops at the Contemporary first because if there are any guests on that bus which are staying there then they deserve to be dropped off first.

Now like I said before a long time ago when the Contemporary buses use to only stop and pick up guests at the TTC coming back from the parks which require buses and Downtown Disney, the TTC was always the first stop before we arrived at the Contemporary. So for whatever reason it use to be like that before.

They'd better not, if Epcot is still open (EMH).;)

Haha - your right if the park is still open they definitely have to go to Cont. - I was just thinking of the Park closing and not bringing any guests back. Joel - are you a bus driver there?? lol!

I'm currently on short term disability hoping to be back in August. I work evenings out of AK and DHS! I wonder how much has changed since June 5?? Things change quickly there!! lol!
