Epcot Beers Of The World Ride

Just interested if anyone else likes the beers of the world ride? I usually start out in Canada with a Moosehead or LaBatts (sometimes both) move on to UK for 1/2 yard of Harps (watching Off Kilter most of the time) ... Then move on to other countries (skipping US because I don't like Budweiser) and end in Mexico with a Dos Equis! Then start over again if I can still walk. Admittedly I usually skip a few countries, but I try to make them up on the next trip. I've discovered that France actually has some pretty good beer!

This does tend to be a little bit expensive, but lots of fun. I do love beer and have a great time doing this. I find that Christmas is a good time to do this because it's a little cooler and everyone is already in a festive mood. I have a picture of the Great Beers of the World kiosk at UK as wallpaper on my phone. If I can figure out how to upload a picture, I'll insert it. I'm a newbie to this board and I'm discovering how much fun it is to talk to other WDW fanatics! Maybe I'll have a beer first, that always helps me concentrate. TTFN

I've never done just beer...I do drinking around the world cuz I like to have a margarita in Mexico, a Bellini in Italy, and a Keir Royal in France. Everywhere else I like wine or beer. I Like Kirin in Japan, it's so good!

That adds up to a lot more beer than I could handle in the course of a day. But I do enjoy a good beer (something with some character to it) and find that during the Food & Wine festival you have a great opportunity to try different ones.

It is even better during Food & Wine because they add small carts with extra countries. I guess F&W is like EMH in Epcot! It does get expensive though, fun but expensive. They should sell shirts.

Do check on the thread about the Monorail drinking stops. Most people are unofficial members on the LOTW. That means Lushes of the World. As in World showcase, WDW, resort world.......I think you will get the idea.

I was wondering what LOTW meant!!! Hee Hee ... I'm always checking out any new posts to the Monorail Drinking Stops ... and now a new one "Beers of the World" -- I love Harp beer ... but 1/2 yard and I will think I am really IN the UK ... or maybe just throwing up in the real Italy ... teasing .... ok. At least I didn't say I would pee out in public in Germany ... oops confusing this with the SHOCKING thread.

You can get a Sam Adams in America. Yummy!

Definitely a Moosehead in Canada, Tsing Tao in China, Sapporo in Japan, Dos Equios in Mexico. I wish they had Maclay in the UK though.

I have yet to get one of these but they are one of my favorite drinks and I hear so many people get these here...supposedly there's a kiosk in Italy that sells these. Good Luck finding it...I'll be searching for it myself in October!

We are planning on doing this in September before the MNSSHP! About how much would you say it cost (we have never done this before)for a full trip around the world?

I do that all the time, but it's basically called 'around the world'.

Do they have beer at every single country? I didn't know they had a french beer. We usually got wine.

The only rule is that the beverage must be indigenous to the country you're at... which, I believe, is not a problem since I don't think any of the countries sell anything but their own stuff.

Looks like you will be there in September. We will be there Sept. 10-16. We will probably not be LOTW for the whole week but you will find us with a few drinks in hand.

If you're looking directly at Italy from the lagoon/lake the kiosk is to the left side of Italy (kind of the same location, in regards to the pavillion, as the kiosk in morocco is located).

Since you live in NT, NY and can get your fill of Labatts at the grocery store or in any local bar, I say, skip Canada and try the beers in Japan and China.
And if you go with a non-beer drinker (perish the thought...) they can get wine in Germany, France and Italy, a margarita in Mexico and a YUMMMMM tangerine daquari in Morocco.
