We're going sort of last minute for two days at WDW. It's my mom, my grandparents, my 17 month old twins and myself. (Poor DH can't take off work, or maybe lucky DH since he gets to miss the cross country flight :rotfl: )

Anyway, we've decided that we'll visit Epcot and AK during those two days. I know that the twins will really enjoy AK because there's a lot to wander around and look at, plus lots of reasonably contained areas which helps us. I'm having a hard time remembering what might be good at Epcot for them.

They're very much in the "explore" stage...what can I look at, what can I pick up, what can I climb on etc. I have a feeling the Living Seas will fit the bill (they loved it at 11.5 months), but ideas for Epcot would be much appreciated.

(Although I realize that MK would be a better choice, we're going to Disneyland in the fall and will see many of those attractions then. Also, my mom and grandparents very much want to see the Flower and Garden exhibit, and since they're helping me with the boys, I think I'd like to have some fun too).

They would probably enjoy the Imagination ride and the play areas at the end of the ride (can't remember what it is called!) Also, the train display in the Germany pavilion is pretty cool and can be entertaining for little ones.

If they enjoy watching the fish, you might try for lunch at Coral Reef and get a view of the huge acquarium.

In the area behind Test Track, they have a bunch of cars that the kids can explore.

Enjoy your trip!

At 18 months old, these were DD's favorite things in EPCOT:

The Living Seas and Nemo ride
The boat ride in The Land pavillion
The big water fountain when you first enter the park (Can't remember what it's called)
The water fountains as you exit the Imagination pavilion
The water play area on the bridge between Future World and World Showcase
The water fountain in the French pavilion
The boat ride across the lagoon in World Showcase

Are you sensing a theme yet? :)

She also enjoyed the little garden maze in the UK pavilion, the train display in the Germany pavillion, and wandering around the upper waterfall area in the Canada pavillion. Oh...and she had a great time dancing with her dad to Off Kilter.

We spent a lot of time in EPCOT on that trip and there was plenty to keep her entertained. There are lots of places to let little ones have some freedom to roam and explore without feeling like they're going to get lost or stepped on. We found that if we gave DD a chance to wander and work off some energy, she would then happily sit in her stroller and even napped several times, which NEVER happened at the other parks.

Have a great time!

At 19 months old my daughter enjoyed...
Nemo ride, Turtle Talk and looking at the animals in the aquarium.
Living with the Land ride
Journey into Imagination with Figment
Watching the fountains (any fountain)
Mexico boat ride
watching the model train in Germany
dancing to music (any music played around the worldshowcase) but especially the belly dancing type music in the Moroccan gift shop
Watching fish in the Koi Pond in Japan while her older sister watched Miyuki (sp?) the candy lady
The sea gulls that were begging from us while we ate fish at the UK stand (the rest if us were almost scared of the birds, but the baby loved it).
Meeting characters
tasting Mickey ice cream bars and other sweet treats

And as it gets dark, don't forget the lights in the sidewalks in Future World - my at the time 19 month old LOVED them! He also loved the Mexico and Norway rides. He also thought dinner at Chefs de France was great because he saw Remy.

You're in luck! Epcot sets up several kids areas with playgrounds during F&G. They were a complete (and welcome!) surprise to us last year.
