EPCOT and MGM need a water ride!!!

How can you enjoy a day a the park when you are soaked? Walking around in wet underwear and soggy shoes? Malestrom is just a light splah at best and that is enough. Have you done the back lot tour? That rush of water sitting on the right place will get you wet. To each their own ,but where is the magic in water logged under pants?

Disagree. I get wet enough in the Florida rain and humidity. I also get wet enough in the shower. If you need to get wet on a thrill ride that's not at a water park; you need to look into your personal hygeine habits. :lmao: :rotfl2:

Always thought if Brazil was to become an area in Epcot's WS, then maybe an educational ride through the Amazon and Rainforest with a "wild" ending would be a great attraction. However after thinking about it, imho a soaking ending doesn't fit into the scheme of things in WS.

MGM needs another exciting ride attraction(on the other side of the park) to help alleviate the logjam that sometimes forms up by TOT and RnR.

A little OT but over in AK. Kali River Rapids could have been so much more. It's over before you know it. :sad2:

I don't like to be soaking wet. Getting a little wet is ok, but soaking wet is miserable. I like the idea about rainforest ride. That would be neat, and I'm sure they could incorporate something to make the guests get a little wet.

I agree about KRR, too. It's a really short ride for the wait! I swear that ride seemed longer three years ago!

What about this put a ride in Canada show the history of Canada like the other two rides in WS do respectively and at the end have a Niagara Falls waterfall splash where you ride the waterfall down to the bottom and get wet!

At MGM, it would be fun if Disney put in a thrill ride like Dinosaur or Indiana Jones (at DL), only it should have a less scary theme, possibly themed around "Cars" or "The Incredibles". You know, kind of a kid friendly thrill ride - the ride is thrilling (goes fast, sharp turns, etc...), it has awesome special effects, and the theme is fun for everyone, even the kiddies. :thumbsup2

I would rather see something like that rather than a water ride. I like water rides (when I wear my rain poncho so I don't get soaked), but I don't love them. I do love the Indiana Jones ride at DL though! My 7 year old DS will ride Indiana Jones, but the theme is a bit too scary for him. However, if it was the same ride, only based on the movie "Cars" or "The Incredibles", he would LOVE it, and so would I! :cool1:

That's a great idea, too! I'm sure they could actually pull this one off fairly quickly seeing as how Canada is already a part of the WS!

Doesn't MGM have the backlot tours, where you get sort of wet during one part of it?? I'm not a big fan of being wet all day from those water rides

We love Spalsh and Kali River...so for $7.00, the Disney rain poncho is great investment. It's easy enough to fold up and put in a backpack, and can be put on quickly. The water rides are fun, but being soaked for a couple of hours is no-fun.

It would sure beat a movie. You could ride in your own little Maid of the Mist. I'm sure they could design the water effect(like in POC before the drop) so you only get a little spray and not deluged. pirate:

Disagree. I'm not a fan of water rides that get you wet when everything else is dry. If I wanted to have a good time being soaked, I'd head to a water park.

I don't care for rides that leave you soaked. I generally go in Oct, Nov, Dec and in those months, soaker rides aren't much fun. However, I could understand the appeal if you go in the summer.

Disagree. It would be a waste of money that could be better spent elsewhere. I have never been on Kali rapids, and I worked at WDW for 12 years.

Maybe it's because we go during the cooler months of the year, but I don't feel I need more rides where I get soaked.

I love the wet rides, but I don't feel like I need one in every park.
