This will be our first family trip. DS will be 2-1/2 and DD will be 2-1/4 when we visit in Feb 09. I've not been to DHS (MGM then) since 1998, and visted Epcot in Nov 2006 before kids. We are going for a week and I would like to visit each park, but am having a hard time determining what things they could enjoy at these parks. I would love, and REALLY APPRECIATE, any tips or ideas. :flower3:

We took our DS that was 15 months old to both parks. DHS has a Honey I Shrunk the Kids play area. There is also a Playhouse Disney Show, if your children watch they will love it!! It includes Handy Manny, Little Einsteins, Micky Mouse Clubhouse, and My Friends Tigger and Pooh. In Epcot my son loved the Nemo ride and all of the water play areas. He also enjoyed just riding around in his stroller looking at all the sights.

We took DD 2 1/2 to both this Sept. She liked Toy Story Mania, and Muppets. With Epcot we spent a lot of time in WS and there are a lot of little shows going on that the kids enjoyed. Anyway my two kids, DD 2 1/2 and DS 5, had a lot of fun at both parks.

We started taking each of our children to WDW at 18 months. Though they really did not care for EPCOT and DHS there were enough to look at to keep them interested. We did not do very many shows or rides in either one but there were a few they liked.

If they do not scare easily Beauty and the Beast show and Little Mermaid are good in DHS. They need to have a fear tolerance as the Beast and Ursula have brought some small children to screaming hysterical fits when we have been there. In EPCOT we were able to go on the Spaceship Earth (which our DD christened the Bible ride in Apricot and it has always been called that :) ), Living with the Land tour, NEMO, etc.

Warning - for me the shows were way too loud for the children. We brought headphones for them as there were times I thought my hearing was going to be damaged at times.

Hope this helps.
