EPCOT 30th Anniversary?

Has anyone heard if they are doing anything special on October 1st for the 30year anniversary of the opening of EPCOT? I know there are some D23 events (Which I am not a member of) that are going on the few days leading up to October 1st.

Just wondering since I had planned on being there on the 1st for any events that may be going on.

I've been watching for info about the 30th too, so far the only thing there is any info about is the D23 Event. Nothing at all about a public event. I know a couple fan sites are doing meets and I think one is doing a scavenger hunt.

I can't belive that Disney is not planning something similar to the 25th anniversary celebrations they did 5 years ago. We are down to just over 3 weeks until October 1st and there isn't anything official except the D23 thing.

Is anyone on the Disboards planning on doing a meet?
