I made a breakast reservation along the Boardwalk to enter from there. Not dealing with this ugly mess

Just so you know...resort parking for dining is not meant to be used for park admission (except if you valet). Additionally, if they are holding guests at the front, they are holding guests at the IG as well so it isn't like entering there will give you a wait free experience without a crowd.

Did you see the pictures from the IG entrance posted a day or so ago? The queue was moved from the tapstiles all the way to the Joffrey Coffee cart just past the Rose & Crown and extended back to the IG entrance tapstiles. You have to remember it isn't just BC/YC/BW/Swan/Dolphin any longer--you have to account for all those folks on the Skyliner line too.

The furthest I have ever been queued is the tea garden area of the UK (just over the bridge) and we were front of the line. That queue extended all the way beyond the tapstiles as more and more people poured off the Skyliner. The queue two days ago was considerably farther than that and was jam packed!

Then you have the added distance to get to FW if you are planning to ride. The main entrance folks have a decided advantage with the queues forming outside Guest Relations on the TT side and the old art store on the Soarin' side. Unless they return to the old way of giving the IG people a head start--that main gate crew is going to beat the IG side every time.

Now, if you aren't concerned about the rides--then your breakfast and IG plan is a winner since the WS opens at the same time as FW these days. Good Luck!

I wish we could return to the 9:00 a.m. FW opening time and 11:00 a.m. WS opening.

well, it seems like with the previous procedure they were able to avoid some of these large crowds. Why must we go back to that way at all? Did anyone actually like that?

Also, children under 12 can not be vaccinated yet and the pandemic is not over.

IMHO, I have never understood the appeal of RD, especially at Epcot, I personally prefer arriving in the afternoons and staying until close. With that said,

I see nothing wrong with bringing back RD for those who like doing it, I honestly don't understand the negative chatter on this thread, there is nothing "unsafe" about bringing back RD. I am floored that anyone would go to the extent of complaining about this. All pandemic restrictions have been lifted, vaccinations are widely available, and the CDC has deemed it safe to return to normal activities. I do not see an issue here.

I see no problems with this at all. I don't love RD and prefer how things have been over the last 8-9 months but if WDW is open and someone chooses to go, then it's their way and if you don't like it, don't go. If anyone feels unsafe visiting WDW, they need not go. And anyone who has been to Disney recently has realized that there is zero social distancing going on. The ground markers are gone and sadly most guests are back to cramming your personal space. I have enjoyed non-crowded parks but let's be real, Disney has only been overly cautious to appeal to masses and for the optics/ability to remain open. Most of the protocols in place since they reopened were entirely illogical. Masks on outdoors when you're asked to social distance and the park is empty, useless.....plastic sheets between rows on rides....I mean really, if anyone thought a 2' tall plastic sheet is protecting them from germs on a moving ride, they need their head checked.
