We are going to Disney/Universal Mar 18-25. How long will the lines be then? We have never bought the EP as we usually are able to go in Sept/Oct and I was shocked at the $100 ish per person. So, for 2 days, that is $1000. I looked at booking the premier hotel and that was right around $700, so not sure that's worth the effort.

Thanks.

That's prime spring break time so very busy. One night at a Premier gets you 2 days of EP - both check in & check out days.

ETA that EP cost increases greatly at busy times.

Yes - 2 days of EP at $700 versus the $1000 - just a savings of 300. But, you're saying the EP prices goes up even more during busy times? 😭

Yes it does and spring break is a peak time at Universal. For example around the Christmas holidays the one time use pass is $200 per person and the unlimited is $250. It has surge pricing depending on how crowded Universal expects the parks to be.

Of course, you never need EP. It's nice, but you can do a lot without it also. For 5 people, the Premier room is pretty much the best deal going for EPs. But without it, just make sure you're being strategic - hitting longer wait rides early, using the last few hours when waits drop way down, hitting lower wait options midday. The UO App is super helpful for ride wait times.

Yes the EP does go up at really busy times. We also usually visit at non peak times (Sept/Oct, Jan, early May) but in 2021 we needed to travel right after Easter. The EP’s were over $200 each per day.

Premier Hotel has been booked. So weird to book a hotel for fast passes....but, thanks for the suggestion!

Generally a bargain considering the cost of buying EP‘s and ’your time’ If there for a shorter trip.

many here on a tight budget often book a split trip of sorts between those resorts and the non EP ones as you do get 2 full days out of just one night.

If you aren’t currently an AP holder, monitor those rates. May turn out to be non existent as a very popular time. However, it may be worth your time to upgrade one tix to take advantage of the discounted rates and other perks.
