I have made a reservation at Cape May for breakfast and was hoping for an early start to Epcot but noticed you can walk to World Showcase but that part of Epcot doesn't open till late so how do you get into the park? Also can we leave our car parked at The Beach resort all day for free and drive home after? Thanks

No, the BC parking lot is not available for free theme park/all day parking. You can pay to valet there and leave your car all day. That is around $20. It is not a problem to walk to the front of a Epcot from the International Gateway entrance (the one near BC) before World Showcase opens.

Thank you Jengersnap. When we went to Chef Mickey years ago we managed to park our car for free but probably weren't meant to! Does "valet" just mean park? Is it when you give your car keys and they park for you? Thanks again for your help, I really appreciate it :cheer2:

Yes, you give your keys to the valet people and they park your car in a special area, then retrieve the car when you are ready to leave.

The IG gateway opens when the park opens. If you go right once you get in, the France pavilion will be accessible because the French bakery is open for breakfast or treats. I know you said you had a breakfast reservation, but just wanted to mention it. :)

WS is open to walk through the area between IG and FW, but the buildings, shops, and attractions are closed, with the food exceptions mentioned above.

For resort dining you are supposed to check in at the security gate where they check for your reservation and you used to get a self parking pass (usually marked for 3 hours), after which I would assume you would be charged a fee or something similar to being ticketed. Remember that a valet would expect a tip when you retrieve your car in addition to the $20 parking fee.

That's great thanks! :flower3: At least we won't have to waste time reparking

the car after breakfast and hopefully get to Test Track before the lines are too long. :woohoo:
