Okay...so I checked out the interactive map on the Universal web site to map out the best place to choose a locker...:surfweb:

When we use the parking lot, will we be entering thru the big archway? It doesn't show where the parking lot actually is!:confused3

So if that is the main entrance, then there's lockers close by. Now by the looks of it...you go thru the archway do all that park...then you have to retrace your steps at the end, go thru the arch and make your way thru the island area then the park area to the left??:confused3 The parks aren't joined at the back somewhere?:rolleyes1

Is the entrance the best place to store our sweaters, extra snacks etc.... or can you all suggest a more convienant location?:wizard:

We are hoping to do it all in one day...I know....I know!!!:dance3: But that's all we have!

Are you going to both parks? There are lockers at the front of each but the parks are not joined.

I suggest you go to googlemaps to get a good idea of the entire area.

the family lockers are at studios near the RR and lost and found.

they can be used all day long for one set price.

from the website:

Locker Rental

Lockers are available within each of the theme parks for guest rental for $8.00 per day, with family size lockers available at Universal Studios Florida for $10.00 per day. Guests have unlimited access to these lockers during the course of the day.

Additional lockers are available at Universal's Islands of Adventure® for $2.00 per hour, with a $14.00 per day maximum.

These lockers are available at the entrance of the following attractions:
- The Incredible Hulk Coaster®
- Dragon Challenge™
- Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™
- Jurassic Park River Adventure®
- Revenge of the Mummy®
- MEN IN BLACK™ Alien Attack™

NOTE: The lockers at The Incredible Hulk Coaster and Dragon Challenge™ are free for at least the first 45 minutes (time may vary - check with the individual attractions for specific length of time).

Yes, the Google maps views are very helpful for getting an idea of the layout.

Here's a map that shows the locations of the parking garages. From there you walk on the moving sidewalks and into CityWalk (following the pink line). The entrances to both parks are inside Citywalk. You can use the purple line to walk between IOA and US if you are park hopping during the day, but you do exit one park before entering the other (and have your tickets checked each time).

When I was there, there was a different path open between the parks in the late afternoon, but I believe it was only for the people who were lining up to visit Halloween Horror Nights, I don't think it's open all the time.

OMG! It's huge!! This was what I was looking for, thank you so much for your detailed reply...I get it now!!
My feet are sore already.....The Universal site doesn't show the parking, so I was confused!
I'm going to print this out...yikes!

I just want to add, that I don't think a locker would work....
We'd be so far away from it when we would need something....I think I'll just pack light and carry what we need, rather than backtracking once or twice to go to the lockers!:scared1:

:) That view does make it look a little scary . . . I think it's much less intimidating in person. I stayed at a hotel on the other side of Kirkman from the parking garages, and I made it to the front gate of IOA in probably 15 minutes or so (walking the whole way).

The good thing is, once you get to CityWalk, everything is right there. It takes only a couple of minutes to walk from one park to the other.
