Entrance tickets for US/IOA

When you use them for the first time how are they validated ? Do you put a finger print on the ticket and can you write your name on it so you don't get it mixed up with the others in your party ? Do you need to provide photo ID when using it etc? Plus how do they count the number of days - from the first time it's used or the number of days you actually use it ?

Sorry for so many questions, I've not been to these parks before.

You scan your fingerprint on their fingerprint reader and they have you write your initials on the back of the ticket.

Don't remember flashing photo ID, but you did need either the confirmation # if you bought the ticket online.

From the first time it's used, you have a certain amount of time to use all the days you've bought. For a 3-day ticket, and had a 14 day window in which to use those three days.
