Entrance gates/Fastpass question

Hi everyone, I've been reading all the Fastpass tips here and I have a question. If you have 5-day Park Hoppers, does Disney know whose is whose? Is it plastic with your name or fingerprint or photo on it? Or is it just a piece of cardboard with a number?

I was reading that you can enter DL first (when it opens before CA) and get a couple of Fastpasses, and then leave to spend the day at CA, and then later on in the evening go back to DL to use the fastpasses.

It will be just me and my husband, so I was wondering, while he is doing other stuff can I use my 5-day Park Hopper ticket to enter DL, then exit the gates and get a hand stamp, then enter the gates again with his card (to activate it), then get the fastpasses, and then meet him over at CA? Or does he have to actually enter DL too? If he doesn't enter DL in the morning, he won't get a hand stamp, so does that mean that when he enters DL later in the evening then he will have actually used 2 days of the hopper in only one day? But he could get a hand stamp when we leave CA later in the evening, so would that make it ok to enter DL and only have used 1 day of the hopper? Or would entering CA in the morning mean he has used 2 days of the hopper already?

I am confused!!! Thanks for any help! I have learned so much from all of your wonderful posts here. :worship:

Another quick question: what is that website I see linked in some of your posts that just has www.*********** for the link? When you click on it, it doesn't take you to the site.

He will want to enter with you. There's just no point in possibly causing a problem by him not having the handstamp. The stamps are used in times of crowds so you get priority if there's a chance of park closing (there are several stages of closure and that's an early one), but really to make sure no one is being naughty with passes.

But all he'd have to do is walk in then leave and get a stamp, go back to the room to sleep or whatever...then you can take them both to the other park and get FPs.

To answer the question about how they know whose is whose....they do have a signature line, I believe, and they can ask you to sign it. Other than that, unless it's a hard plastic "souvenir" ticket, it's basically thick paper, and there's no fingerprint or picture, etc, associated with it.

And that's just why the handstamp is so important.

Wow, I'm confused too! ;)

Let's see if I can help. When you enter either park (DL or DCA) your ticket is scanned for 1 day of usage for both parks. This activates the FP usage for both parks. So, if you and your dh have entered DCA in the morning, you can take his hopper over to DL and collect FP's with it. However, he will need his hopper to get into DL or back into DCA if he leaves. When you leave either park, you will need to get a hand stamp to show that you have already been in one park. The hand stamp and hopper must be shown for re-entrance. You can park hop back and forth all day long without using an additional day on your hopper.

HTH.

If you use his ticket and he tries to use it later and has no hand stamp it's very very possible he will be denied entry. Your plan will not work. You need to both go in and get hand stamps for re entry. :)
