Entrance Exam Stress

My DS is taking an entrance exam to make it into a local prep school. It is my alma mater and both of us want him to make it into that school.

He wants it so much that he's had terrible tension headaches all week. Tonight he isn't even hungry for dinner.

I have a feeling he'll make it in as a legacy no matter how he does on the test, but I can't wait for this to be past us. Tomorrow afternoon is looking pretty good from here.

My DD is seeing how it's affecting him and she said she's going to start studying for next year's exam on Sunday.

Good for them but this is really sad that they have so much pressure over a test. I am sure it is a great school and all of that but is it really worth all this? Sorry, I just don't get it--but then again, we don't have to rely on private schools for a good education like they do in many parts of the country so we are lucky-you just have to have the right zip code and even then we can go to any school in the state we want so you can live anywhere and still go to a top school.
