I called the Entertainment hotel # directly and they told me the
e-rates for Portofino were sold out for Feb 2004 and August 2004, how could this be?
Even the agent didn't understand why.

They go quickly so it is possible. Many people want those rates. I would just keep checking back, as they will probably have cancellations.

I could see August being gone since it's the busy time of the year, but February?

Gosh, I wish the suits would give an estimated date of The Mummy opening. You know, all they gotta do is throw a date out there, let Screamscape pick it up, and the word will travel up north to all coaster fans. C'mon suits, stop the tease game.

Could anybody tell me wher, or if, I can buy an entertainment card for a UK resident. We're going June/July and are looking for discount rates etc for an onsite Universal Hotel.
Greetings from Scotland and thanks
Ian

Ian, try any on-line bookstore - Amazon, or here in the states I got mine at Borders - you need to purchase the 2004 Entertainment Book. The card will be in there. If you can, try to get the Orlando edition, that way you can use some of the discounts & coupons that the book is full of.

Hope that helps !!

Their website is www.entertainment.com. I'm not sure if they ship to the UK but you should find that info on the site.

I just called and got the entertainment rate for HRH on
June 15th and 16th for $174 a night.
If I had stayed Thursday night, it would have been a little bit more.
It's a pool view room, 2 beds.
The number I called was 1-888-273-1311 which is reservations for USF.
I hope the Mummy is open by then, I have until June 10th to cancel if it's not.

Maybe you need to try the number I called. I asked the person if they we're still doing the Entertainment rates, and he said, "We sure are."

They keep saying Spring, so it should definitely be open. We should have a meet for the Mummy!

We called last week (to universal directly). We were hoping for HRH in May. Only thing there was a suite. The only standard rooms available with entertainment discount were at PB. It was like $185 night for May 17 and 18th. This is higher then we wanted to go. We are still trying to decide if it is worth it or not.

It is higher than what we all expected from last year, but it is so worth it. I will give you an example. For the holidays, we stayed at RPR because of FOTL. We normally stay for anywhere between 119-160 a night. This time we paid $219!!!!!!!

But it still was worth it to walk on to the rides with no wait!

I think everyone is used to E rates of $119, because that's what I used to read about in the past. I'd have to say those days are over, and E rates of $174 and up will be the norm. For me, it's my first time staying onsite. To be able to walk back and forth to USF, and get many Mummy rides with a short wait, will be worth it.

But the rates seem to vary on when you are going. I got rates for all three hotels for weeks in July and August, and they went from $220 down to $119 for the week I took at the end of August. I posted on another thread, if you are flexible and can try different dates, different hotels and rates are available.
