other than all the standard shows, what extra entertaiment is on the Panama Canal?

All kind of variety acts. We also had a Crew Talent Show (which was great!), a show by a Broadway actor (on my cruise Gavin Lee who was Bert in Mary Poppins), a special show by the performers of the Walt Disney Theater (ours was about all kind of different songs from movies). I thought it was a great variety and even if there were some shows that were not of a lot of interest to me, a lot were really great!

The best added entertainment we had on our Hawaii cruise was a backstage tour in the Walt Disney Theater. We were told they only do this on longer cruises. It was so great to see the "inner works".
If they offer this I recommend highly that you do it, but get there early, there were so many people there to attend, the line was crazy long.

There is also a lecturer. We had Captain Kenneth Puckett.

On our Panama Canal cruise we had (in the WDT):

When Mickey Dreams
Kevin Johnson (Ventriloquist/comedian)
Scott Record (Impressionist/comedian)
PremEar at Sea (Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian)
Twice Charmed

Los Caporales Festival Folklorico (Mexican dance troupe)
Joey Fatone & Alphonso Ribeiro
Crew Talent Show
Mike Super (Magician)

Remember the Magic

Of course, we were on the Magic, but the point is, there's something different every night.

We had Susan Eagan, the original Belle on Broadway and she was phenomenal.
