I saw on the Ent site their were coupons for Popeye's, Baskerville's, rental cars, Jungle Jim's, etc. I think if we use the book 1 or 2 times, it will have paid for itself! Just wondering- if there is a coupon for fast food, like McDonalds, do you have to use the coupon in a Florida McDonalds, or can I use it in other states?

There are Winn Dixie coupons for $5 off any $50 purchase, but Publix will accept these coupons. I buy the book every year for these coupons (and I am thinking of buying at least 1 more book since the price is so good!!)

There is also a BOGO coupon for All Star Cafe

The All Star Cafe deal is in the front of the book (where you use the card not a coupon). I have the book in front of me and it is one page A23. It is upto a $12 value for lunch or dinner.

I have read in several replies about the entertainment book. Everone makes it sound like you need to buy the Florida book rather than your hometown book that I think you would get a lot more use out of buying for your area . If I am reading this wrong or you can only use the Florida book for the discounts in florida woud someone let me know. We are using entertainment book for the discount for the Dolphin this June and it is a very large part of our reason for staying in such a great hotel.

You can get the book for your area, you just need the card in the front of every book for the discounts.

Am I understanding correctly that I could order a book for my hometown but would still be able to get the discounts in other cities without the actual coupon? We are going to Disneyland and was thinking about ordering the book for Orange County but I don't know that we'd use it enough to make it financially worthwhile. Also if I did that how would I know what restaurants, etc. had discounts without the coupons to look through?

I think that you will need the Orange Cty book to get the offers specific for that area. I think there are some offers that you wouldn't need a coupon for, just the Orange Cty card. Since all the Entertainment cards appear the same, the place where you were using it wouldn't know it was the card for your hometown. They will, however cross out some reference number on the back of your card that stands for their establishment. That number would actually be for something in your own hometown, when used as it is meant to be.

There are a few coupons in the book you can use anywhere, but I was talking about just needing the card for the hotel discount. The card in any book will work for the hotel discounts.

Along this line I wondered about the EB hotel rate. I have booked at HIFS for Jan. 2004 and asked for the EB rate and it was given to me no questions asked. My hometown book does not list HIFS but does list quite a few HI in that area. When I did a search on EB website for the Orlando book it also does not specifically list HIFS. Does anyone know if any EB card will work ?

What's wrong with getting both. We always get the book for Calgary. Whenever we are going to vacation in an area for more than 1 week, we will send away for the Entertainment Book for that city. In Orlando, we got great use of the fast food and smaller diversions - mini golf, Wonder Works, etc.

Couldn't convince my wife to leave the kids for one evening to do Arthur's though.

I bought two books last year, my local and one for Lancaster, PA area. Believe it or not, there were coupons in the Lancaster book that we used here (100 miles away) that weren't in our local book. Our local supermarket chain had coupons for 5 bucks off a 50 purchase in the Lancaster book, but not the DC (we're in the DC burbs and they don't go further south than us). So the books paid for themselves off of those $5 off coupons! I'd gotten a deal (thanks budget board) where I only spent $20 for the two books. Savings received easily was about $150!

It depends on why you're getting the book as to which to get. If you're looking to dine off property for discounted prices, then by all means, get the Orlando EB. But if you are basically looking for discounts on hotel or car rental, get your local book because those discounts are in all the books.
I went to buy a lanyard on nutztogo and they have a florida coupon deal with it. So I am waiting until closer to my next trip (the family trip) to buy the lanyard!
