HI All. We are planning a trip to Orlando in April. I was wondering if it is worth purchasing the 2012 Entertainment book to help save some money. Has anyone found this worthwhile?

Thanks so much!

I always buy those books for home, we love them! But, I am not sure if I would for a weeks vacation. I wonder if it is possible to buy a "used" one. Like is there someone that bought one for their vacation. There is NO way that there are so many coupons gone that would make it useless. I dunno... I dont think we would buy one for just a week. How much are they?

I don't find them too helpful, so I wouldn't pay full price, but if you are going later in the year, they get down to around $10, I would go for it then.

What I have done instead is sign-up for Groupons and Living Social type things and I think the discounts are as good as the entertainment book. I have them on spam right now because we aren't taking a trip anytime soon, but when I get closer to a trip I will start looking again!

While I haven't bought one for a couple of years, I know they use to always go down to $10-$12 in price because DHs birthday is in April and I would wait until they went on sale and get one for his birthday. Like I said, it was a couple of years ago, but they use to always go on sale. I still get the local one for his birthday every year after they go on-sale.

is there a special place u would like coupons for? maybe us fl residents can help u out! im not in orlando Im in Tampa so if there is someplace over here that you are interested in let me know and I will see if theres a deal for ya!

I saw them on ebay and was considering getting one for the trex restaurant. I have found it for 1.00 on ebay but I'm worried about the coupons being gone from it:confused3

We bought once and found it useless- did not use one coupon- all the coupons available in free tourist pamphlets were way better deals- we ended up just leaving it in the villa. I thought when ordering it that the car rental deals would work- but it turned out other codes available were much better. My sister buys one every year for her area and uses it a lot for restaurant coupons but we don't have the discounts available here like they seem to in every little booklet you can get in Florida.

It's been several years since I looked at an Entertainment Book but then it was mostly two for one offers and the like qhich I can't make use of (by myself).

And the car rental and similar discounts could not be combined (stacked) with offers already available from other sources.

So the Entertainment Book was useless.

I also do not find them too helpful. I think it's did not worth to Purchase
