I've been checking & checking and yesterday my status changed from 'pending' to 'approved'.

I printed out my certificate and mailed it. Now it says to give it 6 to 8 weeks till I get my $50 Gift Card.

Who knows, maybe this really WILL work ~ ~ Then I'll have MADE $30 just to order something I was going to order any way!!!

So if you ordered your Entertainment Book back when this post first came out, BE SURE to go and check your status.

That's what I figured too which is why I initially took the chance. If it was a hoax, then at least I got the book that I was going to get anyway (for a cheaper price, actually.) I also didn't get a ton of junk mail as a result, did anyone else?

I'm still waiting and annoyed as well. My status page went to approved 11 wks ago. I returned the printed certificate on Sept 4th which means yesterday was 10 weeks!! I've emailed them twice now. The first one prompted the link to the certificate and the second one yesterday just said to contact them if if has been longer than 8 wks even though I said in my email that it had been 10. Oh well, I guess I won't be getting my gift card.

I pretty much gave up on this, but just yesterday I got a $50 check in the mail, in lieu of the $50 VISA gift card. I ordered my entertainment book back in July and jumped through all the necessary hoops and was pleasantly surprised when the mail came yesterday. Just hope the check doesn't bounce!!

My GC is now at 10 weeks out. They told me they were out of the one I ordered(Costco) and that they were to get them in the next 2-4 weeks. If I didn't receive my card by then to call them back. I did confirm that they received my certificate and I noted the name of the person that I talked to, just in case!

and it says my GC shipped! I have checked it everday I think. Now lets see how long it takes to get here. I too would have ordered the book anyways, but I love a bonus like this.

Ok, so I'm the only one posting, but I'm going to Costco tomorrow! My GC came in the mail today, and we are broke because my DH had an error in his paycheck, so this $50 is coming in handy. We also got a $104 credit back from hotwire this week, so that helps too! Yes I ordered a lot of gift cards

SRUALmm- Thanks for posting about this deal. Today a loooooong time later I finally got my Costco gift card. I hope you didn't take my post wrong when I said I worked for it. Was just trying to say there really is "no free lunch". It was worth the many e mails. I always say I have more time than money.

Nope- I didn't take it wrong at all. I'm so glad that it's working out for so many people. Just goes to show, once in a while you need to take chances in life. Oftentimes, they pay off

I'm resurrecting this to see whether people got their gift cards. I ordered my Entertainment Book on December 10, 2004. I received the book and the charge showed up on my cc bill. No gift card though. What was the average wait time?

The gift card doesn't come automatically. You have to go to their website and keep checking on a regular basis until your status changes from "Pending" to "Approved". When it's approved you print out a certificate that you then mail in. THEN wait 8 -10 weeks.

But mine finally did come. Just be sure not to forget about it and stop checking for that approved status. Nothing will happen unless you send in that certificate.
