Entertainment at Parks to Include the Mayor at MK

Has anyone ever planned their day to include acts like Dapper Dans or various bands that play in each park that are not on the park map? I know Steve Soares's web site indicates times but it didn't work for me during one trip and when I asked a Cast Member, they had no idea what was going on. Do you think I should go to the Town Hall and ask for a schedule?

We met the Mayor of Main Street the last time we went to WDW. We also met Miss Victoria at the Barbershop.
