Entertainment at Cosmic Ray's?

I am trying to find a good place to eat CS at MK. I was leaning towards Pecos Bills because of the rave reviews but their child's menu looks weak (franks & beans?). Anyway, I remember reading something about a singer maybe that performs at Cosmic Ray's but can't find where I first read it. Anyone know if this is true and what time he performs? Sounds like fun.

It is by far our kid's favorite place to eat. The boys never get tired of seeing Sonny, even if they've heard the same jokes on each trip. The portions are really big and there is a great variety to choose from. They love the chicken and the mini corn dogs. We couldn't get them to eat at Peco's Bills on our last trip in August whatsoever. We'll be at WDW next week and spending 3 days at MK...I'm sure that will mean 3 CS meals at Cosmic Ray's!

Sonny is great. We ate at Cosmic Ray's twice because of him. The food was fine too but my kids wouldn't hear about trying another place to eat. They wanted to see Sonny again. LOL

We eat at Cosmic Rays every trip, but it is a huge place. I believe I read somewhere it is the largest CS restaurant on property. I much prefer Pecos Bills or Pinnochios. As an adult, honestly, I prefer Columbia Harbor House. Much much quieter and good menu choices. Probably boring for a child, though. Pinnochios now has pizza and you can get a seat by the windows and wave to the boats departing for It's a Small World..

When DD was younger, this was her fave CS, as she got older (9ish) she said sonny gave her a headache,and insisted we sit so far away that she wont have to see him, or eat at pinnochios

Cosmic Ray's is brill, they've got a great burger/salad bar. It's always really cool in the hot days, good place to wind down and relax, B4 you start again!! Kids menu is really good too. Didn't like Peco Bills, very very busy and rowdy, food not too good.

We'll be visiting in May and my son really wants to eat here and see Sonny. Do you think we'll have any trouble getting a seat at lunch time that's close enough to see/hear Sonny?

We've always been able to sit close enough to see/hear Sonny, though sometimes it takes a circle around the room to find someone leaving. The room is large enoughg that there is usually someone leaving. DD just loves it and it really is a nice place to unwind for a bit.
