I've had rentals from them at home while my car was in the shop because that was what the insurance or dealer would pay for. I've had one nice car, but most of them were so-so. Some had high milage and weren't very clean. One I actually refused it was so gross!
I allso rented from them at home (2X, one was insurance) and I did not have a good experience. The agents were pushy. The cars were substandard. Overall, if I had a choice, I would go somewhere else.
I've had rental cars from Enterprise twice. Both times were when my car was in the shop, and the dealership paid. The first time went fine... I got a stripped Ford Focus. Nowhere near as great as my Jetta... but decent. The second time, they gave me a POS Ford Escort. (Do they even make these heaps anymore??) The thing was disgusting on the interior... all sorts of weird stains all over the place. The thing vibrated and shook worse than Katherine Hepburn at idle... And worse yet, they tried to charge me for the rental, saying my credit card would be reimbursed after the dealer paid them. (This, after they assured me my CC wouldnt be charged, but was used for security purposes) The folks at Enterprise were very unapologetic about it, and treated me like crap.
Would I ever rent from Enterprise? Never. Next time my dealer tries to get me one of them, I will refuse. Give me a loaner instead.
Thanks for the input. What you've said plus what Deb Will says equals no renting from Enterprise. Sounds disgusting! Definitely not worth the small savings.
