Entering the Parks with New Tickets

Our DL tickets are linked in the DLR app, but we haven't used them yet. Do we need physical media before entering the parks for the first time with these tickets? Are these tickets automatically linked to our WDW MagicBands?

Not sure about MB, since we haven’t used them yet. However, you should be able see your MB+ in the DLR app, if they were linked to your MDE account. Tickets in the DLR app can be scanned from the app too.

EDIT: Sorry, you need to link your bands to the DLR app. I was thinking of the DCL app.

My WDW MB+ won't link to the DL app. What am I doing wrong? Can the band be linked to both resorts? I have the same login for both.

Our MB+ were linked for WDW and I just linked them in the Disneyland app yesterday. I had to charge them fully first. What issues are you running into @gmi3804 ?

I was getting an error message when linking it to the DL account. The device was recognizing the device, but no dice. I ended up calling tech support, and they linked for me.

Yay! So glad you were able to get it working. This will be our first time using a MB at Disneyland. I know you can’t do as much stuff. But I’m still kinda excited!

The door key/ticket/charging functions will be nice to have, without having to pull out the room key.

IIRC, MB+ doesn’t work for room key or charging privileges at DLR. Only for tickets and LLs.

Sorry. I haven't tried linking mine yet. We have a DCL cruise and a WDW trip planned before our DLR trip, and I didn't want to mess them up for those trips. It sounds like you got it worked out though.
