Hi all,

Headed to SSR on Sunday. Does anyone know if we would be allowed inside other Disney resorts to pick up a dining mobile order? I know they are allowing for dining reservations.

thanks!

We were at Disney 3 weeks ago. We went to dinner at 2 different resorts and were never approached by anyone to ask why we were there. We just walked or rode in on the monorail and proceded to go where we wanted.

The other day, we drove in and just told the guard we were visiting the DVC open house. We were, of course, but the DVC rep didn't put our names in to the guard. He asked for our ID and that was it. I imagine having a mobile order would also be valid. Alternatively, just say you are there for the DVC preview, too.

We drive and we moved freely about the resorts at Thanksgiving looking at Christmas decorations as we always have. We went to all the major resorts. Other than the occasional parking issue at Boardwalk, we've never had a single issue moving freely about property. Thanksgiving was no different. Neither was the August trip for that matter.

Using WDW transportation is not an issue at all. When driving, the guard may require a reservation.

It seems if you stay onsite there is a greater chance you will be allowed into another resorts’ parking lot.

Thanks we will be driving too. We are DVC so I could show the card too if we tie it with an open house.

what did you tell the guard at the gate?

We were going to look at Christmas decorations or in the case of August, browse the DVC shop (which we did and which we did).

Stick your MB out the window and tell them why you're there. That's all we've ever done. I don't ever recall actually being turned away, though it does seem it happened once a while back at BWV when the parking lots literally were full (We could see all but the back one on the other side of the road and we didn't ride the loop to see. I think, if it's even still there, it's CM parking but it has been used for overflow in the past.).

I suspect you're right. Especially if they see a rental or a pay driver. We're always on my personal SUV and we always stay DVC. Heck, I think most of the guards know us now anyway. :D Seriously though. A lot of'em do.

Thanks! great idea. We really would rather drive.

Haha! We will have a super out of state plate, a MB and a DVC card so here’s to hoping it works!
